Kadavar Releases New Music Video
Berlin-based classic rockers Kadavar proudly present the official video clip for "Come Back Life," taken from recently released second studio album and Nuclear Blast debut "Abra Kadavar."
The clip was shot, directed, and edited by Nathini van der Meer and Annikki Heinemann of "Oddisee Films" during the band’s journey through the USA in March 2013. Kadavar comments:
"It was the trip of our lives, swaying between heaven and hell. Our baggage got lost and neither did we have a place to sleep for the time of the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, nor a backline or money. As if this wasn’t enough, the ’64 Ford Galaxy that we had bought after a long search blew up in our faces after ten minutes on the highway. Still we met many kind people whose help made it possible for us to reach San Francisco in the end. Our friends Nathini and Annikki have accompanied us during the entire three weeks and have captured footage that’ll stick in our memories forever. After this trip, one of the song’s lines fits even better: Come back life, all is forgiven now…”

Kadavar Posts First Track-By-Track Breakdown
Today, Berlin-based classic/psychedelic hard rock trio Kadavar presents the first part of the track-by-track commentaries for the band's upcoming second studio album “Abra Kadavar." The album is to be released via Nuclear Blast on April 12th.
Let vocalist/guitarist Lupus Lindemann, bassist Mammut, and drummer Tiger provide you with background information on the album’s first four tracks:
01. - Come Back Life “On `Come Back Life´ we’ve tried to write similar melody lines for the vocals and guitar. After the song was done, I got the impression that someone had twiddled with out time machine and had sent us back to 1969!” (Tiger)
02. - Doomsday Machine “It’s both the second track on the album and the second song that was written for it, probably showcasing our trademark sound best. Between changes in tempo, single note riffs and guitar solos, the lyrical concept deals with destruction – inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s movie `Dr. Strangelove.'” (Lupus Lindemann)More...

Kadavar Reveals New Album Details
Germany’s authentic and passionate psychedelic hard rock combo Kadavar today reveals the cover artwork and track list for second full-length album “Abra Kadavar.” The album will be out via Nuclear Blast on April 12th, 2013.
The photo for the cover artwork was taken by ex-Stereolab rummer Joe Dilworth. Kadavar’s front man Lupus Lindemann states: “Joe had already worked with us for our debut album. He’s one of the best photographers I know and always understood our ideas which is why we wanted to cooperate with him again. He proudly brought an old camera from the 60’s and a colour film that had been expired for ten years to the shooting – hard to get and highly coveted, because it causes unpredictable deviants as far as colour and contrast are concerned. As one can see: We’ve used this very film!“
“Abra Kadavar” will be available as a limited digi version including bonus track as well in different vinyl versions. The track listing is as follows:
01. Come Back Life
02. Doomsday Machine
03. Eye Of The Storm
04. Black Snake

06. Fire
07. Liquid Dream
08. Rhythm For Endless Minds

Kadavar Signs With Nuclear Blast
Nuclear Blast Records is more than happy to announce the signing of Germany’s authentic and passionate psychedelic hard rock act - Kadavar. The label comments:
"It was already with 2012’s eponymous debut album 'Kadavar' that the three-piece from Berlin casted a spell on all fans of solid riff-driven yet doom-like 70’s hard rock à la Black Sabbath or Pentagram.
"Marrying this with the spacy psychedelic approach of early Hawkwind and mixing in a distinct own touch while preserving their icon’s warm vintage charm can doubtlessly be considered the trio’s key to success – astoundingly high vinyl sales and support shows for bands such as Sleep, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, and Electric Wizard well as stunning festival gigs at Stoned From The Underground, Yellowstock, and Fusion Festival, among others, underline Kadavar's status as one of the scene’s most exciting acts to watch in 2013!"
Nuclear Blast’s Head of A&R Andy Siry comments on the signing: “We’re delighted to bid Kadavar welcome to the Nuclear Blast family! It was with great interest that we’ve watched their first steps from the founding of the band to the release of their debut record. Eventually, the last-mentioned tipped the balance and led us to offering them a record deal, as we truly believe that these three gentlemen are masters of their craft and can righteously be considered the leaders of the German occult rock movement. We’re looking forward a lot to seeing what the future will bring for Kadavar!”
Regarding the signing with the Swabian label, drummer Tiger states with a wink: “Even though the relationship between people from Berlin and Swabians is usually considered rather… uneasy, we’re taking the first step to reconciliation: We’re very happy that our second studio album will be released via Nuclear Blast, who can look back on an impressive history. After an eventful year, we’ve locked ourselves up in the studio for the past two months in order to work on said record. The result elates us – we can’t wait ‘til the release date has finally come!” More...
