Aeges Releases "Weightless" Video

Los Angeles based rock stalwart Aeges - signed to Century Media's rock spinoff Another Century - just released a new music video for the title track off latest album, "Weightless."

Aeges frontman Kemble Walters comments: "We wanted to try something new with this video. I found Eric Power by digging around the internet and was blown away by his work. Every character was handmade and all of the scenes were created in stop motion...how rad is that!? We wanted a video with monsters, bright colors, and space...and left the rest up to Eric's vivid imagination."

In addition to the new music video, Aeges has announced a few shows in the Los Angeles area to close out 2016.

Wednesday, November 30th: Hollywood, CA @ The Viper Room
Friday, December 16th: Anaheim, CA @ Foundation Fest
Saturday, December 17th: Santa Barbara, CA @ Velvet Jones

Æges Signs With Another Century

Æges has officially inked a worldwide deal with Another Century and is currently hard at work tracking a label debut offering. The label had this to say:

"Æges meld riffs that echo from California desert sand and imbue them with a post-hardcore angst and the smarts of the most challenging of 90’s alt-rock. It’s no surprise that Æges is the juncture of a band whose current members have helmed such a diverse array of bands including 16, The Rise, Cutthroats 9, Juliette & the Licks and Unwritten Law, amongst others.

"When choosing a producer, Æges ultimately found a spirited partner in Bob Marlette, whose long and varied career has included work with Black Sabbath, Shinedown and Rob Zombie. For all additional information be sure to head over to the band's website."

Kemble Walters (vocals, guitars) states: "We're all excited to announce our signing to Another Century. We've seen what they've done with their other artists and can't wait to see what they've got planned for us. We are currently in the studio with Bob Marlette making a slamming record. We definitely didn't skimp out on the nasty riffs and fat hooks! 2015 has been amazing and 2016 is going to be an even bigger year for us. Believe me when I say 'we're all buckled up and ready to roll!'"

Mike Land (drums) further adds: "We're thrilled to be partnering with Another Century. As a band we're looking forward to recording the biggest and best Æges album to date. We've written a diverse array of songs for this release; from heavy and chaotic, to soulful and atmospheric. We feel that our fans, both existing and new, will be able to find something timeless in the new material."

Aeges To Release New EP

California's Aeges, which features members of Pelican, Tusk, The Rise, Cutthroats 9, 16, and Shift, will release its first EP titled "Roaches" on September 13th via Hawthorne Street Records. The band's publicist commented on the Aeges history and sound:

"ÆGES grew out of a temporary hiatus of the members' other bands, and the desire to forge ahead into heavier terraine and new material. There's a definite element of desert rock in ÆGES sound --the low-tuned guitars, the sludgy sun-baked riffs, the deceptive pop hook buried in the molasses-thick instrumentation. Yet the diverse backgrounds of the band members create a unique blend of perspectives and a resultantly fresh sound.

"The common sonic thread between the four individuals in ÆGES --their tenure in bands that explored the darker side of hardcore - manifests itself in the aggressive tonalities of their sound. But their divergent paths, both geographical and musical, broadened the emotional palette beyond the angst of their earlier bands."

The band has just returned from a West Coast tour with Pelican and the Power of the Riff Festival. Stay tuned for select dates from the band later on this fall.
