Bloodsimple Post Doors Cover Online
BLOODSIMPLE, which features in its ranks former members of VISION OF DISORDER and MEDICATION, has posted the following message on its MySpace page:
"Well, you guys overwhelmed us with ideas for covers, so many good ones I wish we could do a whole record of 'em, but that ain't happenin', so we picked one, went into the Machine Shop [in Hoboken, New Jersey] for an evening with the one and only Machine behind the board, set up some mics, filled the room with a nice skunky haze, got Tim [Williams, vocals] ripped, and in honor of the late great Jim Morrison we give you '5 to 1'. And because we love you that much, or we're just morons, you can download it, steal it, burn it, stick it in your iPod, whatever the hell you want... just take it."

BLOODSIMPLE's debut album, "A Cruel World", was released in March 2005 on MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray's Bullygoat label imprint (via Warner Bros.). The CD was recorded in Vancouver B.C. with producer Garth Richardson, who has previously worked with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, MUDVAYNE, SLIPKNOT and CHEVELLE. The album was mixed by Mike Fraser (HATEBREED).
Bloodsimple Guitarist Reflects On 9/11, War
BLOODSIMPLE guitarist Mike Kennedy (ex-VISION OF DISORDER) has issued the following update:
"Well, another September 11th here and gone. The city was ominous yesterday amidst all the memorials and two giant light beams shooting up from where the World Trade Center used to be.
"The world is facing chaos, the Middle East is tumultuous and running out of Earth's blood, and my brother has joined the national guard and will probably at some point be shipped off to some warzone for a year. Other than that, things are great. Frustration and discontent, as we all know, make for good music and we are pouring all of it into this record.
"Throughout all the war, media propaganda, world drama and trauma, and Brads and Angelinas of the Earth.... We must remember the simple things. And to both sides... 'Terror's weapon is fear and victory may be as simple as living our lives without it.'"
BLOODSIMPLE, which features in its ranks former members of VISION OF DISORDER and MEDICATION, is currently in pre-production for its second album at Machine Shop studio in Hoboken, New Jersey with producer Machine. A 2007 release is expected.

Bloodsimple Launches Drummer Search
BLOODSIMPLE bassist Kyle Sanders has issued the following update:
"As many may know and others may not, we parted ways with our buddy Chris Hamilton [drums] a few months back. It sucked, but it happened. He's a slammin' drummer and a good dude but things happen for a reason and it happened. We didn't come out and publicly announce it for the main reason that we didn't want to get emails about 'who's the new drummer' and 'when are we holding auditions,' because we honestly didn't know and weren't ready for that. We're really wrapped up with writing the new record right now and have had several good players helping us out on that end. We're just trying to keep it as stress free as possible and the way we're doin' it works. When touring time comes, we obviously need a badass behind the kit so feel free to email or send any press kits to:

Report
Jagermeister Music Tour Stops In Ft Wayne, IN
Bloodsimple took the stage with a fairly descent crowd. The boys came out with a furry of hard hitting drums by Chris Hamilton. Leading the pack on Bass is Kyle Sanders. Kyle was GREAT to photograph, with long ass dreads flying all over the place. Especially being left handed (Like myself), he was impressive to watch. Mike Kennedy and Nick Rowe supplied the Drop “D” guitar riffs and licks, followed by Tim Williams on vocals. This band had the crowd in a frenzy. The Mosh Pit was pretty impressive for a smaller venue (Pieres). I read some previous review on the fact that Tim’s voice has been alittle haggard. I can assure you, He was at full tilt. Very impressive. Although, the band didn’t come out and meet the crowd (At least to my knowledge), they definitely did one hell of a job. Entertaining to watch and sound good as hell. More...
MTV2 Headbangers Ball: The Revenge Details
MTV2 and Roadrunner Records have announced the release of the third installment in the successful series – MTV2 HEADBANGERS BALL: THE REVENGE. The low priced, double-disc is due in stores on April 11, 2006.
On the heels of the Gold certification of the first installment, MTV2 HEADBANGERS BALL, VOLUME 1 and the success with MTV2 HEADBANGERS BALL, VOLUME 2, MTV2 and Roadrunner Records once again set out to gather the very best in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. The result is more than 2 1/2 hours of music on 2 CDs: disc one represents the strongest tracks from today's biggest rock bands, and disc two brings together the strongest up-and-comers from the underground rock scene.
In addition to the genre-defining anthems that represent the best of the show, there are enough rare and unreleased tracks to satisfy tastemaker metal fans as well. Packed with a total of 38 hard-charging tracks, this collection has 7 exclusive offerings. They include the Terry Date mix of Slipknot's "Before I Forget", and the live recording of Killswitch Engage's "A Bid Farewell", which both see their first CD release on this compilation. Other exclusives are brand new tracks from Hatebreed and Walls Of Jericho, both of which were written especially for this release (Hatebreed's lead vocalist, Jamey Jasta, is the host of the Headbangers Ball program on MTV2). A video for the Hatebreed track, entitled "To The Threshold", will air on video channels in March. A side project of Jasta's, Kingdom of Sorrow (which also includes members of Down, Crowbar and Seemless), also throws a brand new track into the ring. The compilation beat Dragonforce and 36 Crazyfists' record releases to the punch with fresh new tracks from these up-and-comers.

We're psyched to be headlining. I'm a huge fan of the drink, and there's no doubt that DISTURBED and Jägermeister are a perfect mix."
Says Rick Zeiler, Director of Marketing & Brand Development for Sidney Frank Importing Co., Inc., the importers of Jägermeister, "Jägermeister is thrilled to be working with DISTURBED! We've been fans of their music for years, and now we finally get the chance to showcase them on the Jägermeister Music Tour!"
