Unfortunatley those types of song's are about to make a comeback in METAL.It's obvious everything run's in cycles.MOTLEY CRUE are on the comeback trail POISON just released a greatest hit's album and amazeingly enough people are buying it.Take this and put it together with the fact that band's like RATT & CINDERELLA just had a extremely successful tour just last summer, then put it together with the fact that a whole new generation is discovering that stuff for themselves and trying to recreate it.(usually not in as good away unfortunatley.)This is how we get H.I.M. I don't dislike this band but like A7X.I'm not terribly impressed by them.

First off, I feel a little stupid considering I thought I recently discovered some new band... yeah, I'm referring to In Flames. As I look back on the first Headbangers Ball... I realize, track 3 on disc 2 is I.F.'s "Cloud Connected" from: REROUTE TO REMAIN. On Vol. 2, they moved up to disc 1; track 18 is, "The Quiet Place" from: SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR ESCAPE. With that said, it's no surprise that disc 1; track 19 is "Take This Life" from COME CLARITY.
Now for another band, I just recently started following, A7X (Avenged Sevenfold). Again, no surprise they are featured here with "Burn It Down" from their album CITY OF EVIL... after-all they did occupy Vol. 2 - Disc 1; track 13... "Unholy Confessions" from WAKING THE FALLEN. So, yes I have all three A7X CD's.
Now the last two bands I will mention will be the one's that seem to get most of ~your~ disrespect. However, if you don't like them, skip the track(s) or if you buy a copy burn yourself a special edition that excludes whatever you don't like (e.g. KoRn & =H=I=M=). I appreciate whatever KoRn wants to do because regardless they're still KoRn and the only thing I can say about =H=I=M= is it's a good thing I had already bought DARK*LIGHT before Ville Valo made his war ensemble statement about KoRn, because I may not have given them a chance. Anyway, I think Vol. 2, Disc 1; track 12: "Your Sweet Six Six Six" from RAZORBLADE ROMANCE was impressive enough for me to buy the three =H=I=M= CD's that I crossed paths with, the two aforementioned and DEEP SHADOWS AND BRILLIANT HIGHLIGHTS. Who knows I may even buy their previous releases as well.<x3
And though "Right Now" from TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR may not be one of KoRn's best recordings...I still like it and they chose to place it on Vol. 2, disc 1; track 2. Now I think even Azazel_Begotten will be impressed to know that they chose "Liar" from SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE for this edition.
In summary, the second disc here are particularly like a 2nd stage at Ozzfest and there are some greats that will rise above. However, you must be able to tolerate the fact that the Headbangers Ball series are filled with edited versions.
Oh yeah, BLACKDOG, I still encourage you to start a myspc account because it would increase your exposure for whatever you do... tentatively I have requested and have been accepted as or I have accepted 37 friends. This does not include a few that I have blocked from contacting me, etc. This total does include a number of bands, such as Dope, Static-X and Sevendust. Over-all, by being a friend your chances of being noticed multiplies significantly... because each of their friends are in your network (meaning that they can see you are a friend of someone that they associate with). With very little interaction on my part and denying some ppl as friends, my profile has seemed to get a great number of reviews. And I've only been on for two months. Plus, this can give you a feel on how others will take to whatever you promote... just remember "even bad exposure is good, but no exposure is bad." One last thing, when you join, send me a message with your user name, so when I see the friends request I'll know it's you.

REALLY ... I don't really have to do alot and it could theoretically grow on it's own. This would be useful for a site outside of Myspace because it would be like free advertisement. Then even without another site I could still use it to build a following.I think I'm gonna look further into this.I was reading a copy of last month's HUSTLER ..... Uhh.... You know for research & educational purpses.(backpeddling & recovery)Any way alot of adult film star's are on my space. So this could be useful for my magazine / Web site idea. Not to mention I'm gonna be in an amateur film(aspireing actor on the D.L. & no it's not PORN.Why does everyone think that.)not to mention a buddy of mine is into a small time wrestling promotion and I've alway's wanted to be a color comentator. This could be terribly useful seyes.Thank you I just might take you up on this.
