Children Of Bodom Prepares For US Tour

Finnish melodic thrash titans Children of Bodom will embark on a national U.S. tour alongside Fear Factory, Lamb of God and Throwdown this October. This will be the quintet’s third U.S. tour in support of their highly acclaimed new album, Hate Crew Deathroll. This trek, their last until the release of their next album, will also see the band performing a stunning 45-minute set for the very first time in the U.S. The track “Needled 24/7” will also be featured on the new MTV2 Headbangers Ball CD Vol. 2 released this week.
Henkka T. Blacksmith (bass) further describes the band’s excitement over the upcoming tour; “So Children of Bodom will return to the U.S. very soon. We have done a lot of shows over there lately, but we decided to do this tour because it’s a very interesting package. We are looking forward to play with all three bands, and it's going to be an extremely heavy tour. It is very cool for us that we can be part of this package, and we hope to see all the COB fans there too. I am really looking forward to it.”
Also, Alexi Laiho (vocals, guitars) is featured on Guitar World’s inaugural CD-ROM insert in November’s issue, currently on newsstands. Fans will be able to watch him run through various tracks step by step and see his technique in vivid detail.

I thought Throwdown was f***ing bad a$$ at Ozzfest. They were better than all but about 3-4 bands on the second stage. Of course no where near as good as any on main stage. As much as I hate to say it because I never really got into them I thought Slipknot had a killer presence at Ozzfest. Lamb of God, and Devil Driver in my opinion were the other 2 that were better than Throwdown, with God Forbid about even with 'em. I wish this show would come to Cincy or Dayton, mainly to see Children of Bodom.

only two complaints: Bodom should be headlining (not that any of the other bands are bad, but Bodom blows anyone in there path away..) and: all you f***ing "metalheads" should try to be a bit more goddamn open minded.... hardcore is not being forced upon you, but even if it were, you would realize that it is very similar to metal because that is where it comes from.
p.s. harcore is just annother opinion, and it is here (and if you hadn't noticed, all your metal bands these days are so godamn influenced by hardcore, they are now becoming products of something they originally created)

hardcore kids can ruin a show, take dimmu, bleeding through, god forbid in cincinati, some hardcore f***s started a fight with metal kids during dimmu because he got dropped crowd surfing, talking about b**** ass.
f*** HXC kids, they suck eat d***s, them and their stupid "cru's"

f*** you "strictly metal and nothing else-HXC is for p***ies" kids... open your goddamn minds. I admit openly that there are some stupid HXC kids, just as I am sure there are some stupid metal kids, but you can't make a general statement about all HXC fans because of one guy.. Metal kicks ass, but so does hard core. Take it or leave it, I do not care, but you only perpetuate this sh** by saying stuff like that..

THIS COUNTRY NEEDS MORE METAL AND A WHOLE LOT LESS HARDCORE.....I SAY WAR ON THE CORE. Its not confirmed yet but i believe bodom is headling a show in fair plains new york and montreal canada. hopefully my band will get to open for them up in montreal... SINTER.

its common knowledge that true metal fans and true hardcore fans dont get along.. especially at a metal show... hardcore pitting is not compatible with metal and that leads to violence and when that happens, people forget about why they are even there. i go to a show to see the band and watch them perform and get into their music with everyone else. pitting is one thing, but when your throwing punches and kicks, someone is definitely going to get hurt.

hardcore is the real deal b****es. It's the raw emotion and expression of aggression on behalf of true metal fans. I hate motherf***ers who go to a metal show and stand by passive or squeal in the pit. Anyway all the short term scars and bruises after a show always make for great memories.

Now wait a minute. I've been into some pits when Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death and hell
Deicide been playing and the Metal kids throw punches and Karate kicks too. And when Superjoint
played at Ozzfest there was a lot of brutality on the lawn and it was Metal kids doing the damage.
I love brutal pits. The more dangerous the better!!!!

Bodom should be headlining, like someone said earlier. they are just superior in every way tio the other bands. but the other bands are still cool. except throwndown.
