The Florida-based wielders of ominous disgust and crust have this week released the debut LP on Southern Lord. The label also comments:
"Taedium Vitae is a relentless barrage of abrasive, blackened, emotive hardcore played with a strong sense of urgency as Centuries unload their most potent brew of dark hardcore surging with tragic melodies and an emotive angst-ridden vocal assault. Aspirations are methodically countered through rapidly executed and slowly shifting declines in pitch, implications of hopelessness are harnessed in the fantastic cyclical monotony of the d-beat and dry-throated vocals are placed around the riffs like a distorted transcript of a confession.
"Taedium Vitae blasts by under a consistently intense regime of percussive perdition, with moments of unique fascination - white noise nose dives, string-wrenching clamor and an all encompassing overcast mood, delivered through the medium of brimstone hardcore and the burnt flavor of dejected crust. The record was recorded with Kris Hillbert at Legitimate Business studios in Greensboro, North Carolina and is out now worldwide this week through Southern Lord."
Centuries has also been confirmed as performers at the fourth annual The Power Of The Riff in Los Angeles this weekend.
