The Paradigm Shift: a change in the basic assumptions, or paradigms, within the ruling theory of science. a paradigm shift could cause one to see the same information in an entirely different way. Try looking up the duck/rabbit picture of Thomas Kuhn some people see a duck while others see a rabbit and both are considered right.
So far KoЯn your song titles are a little condescending, I've always respected the bands bold unique sound but the past three albums didn't sound like KoЯn to me hopefully with Head returning i will get the KoЯn I grew up with and love so dearly....

@Reginald Arvizu the new album is amazing but if you are expecting it to sound like 1994 you will be disappointed. The new album has heavy guitars AND dubstep elements. It's a great album! I would call it their best album yet. I would describe the new album as a perfect blend of Untouchables + Issues + Path of Totality

Awesome! If it is a mix of Untouchables, Issues, and Path of Totality + New... I am sold. Haven't been to a show in years, I'll definitely be at this one.
As for the title, I hope that means Mr. Davis is working through his issues and coming to some realizations, up to this point lyrically the largest amount of songs seem to be about his childhood and don't give any signs of a way out of the struggle for the fans who relate. Like a trap. But it would also be insincere if he faked the path and pretended life was peachy. I do think he has done a great community service with the message in an artistic way. Basically he really did sell his soul for all of us. Put it all on the line for the world to see, contemplate, debate, find comfort in, and slam.
Looking at the song titles tho... I have reservations that this fantasy of some sort of breakthrough has happened. But you just never know.
No matter what... I am sure this album will Jam! I could use more songs for my mixes at minimum. LOL
As for the Last 3 albums not sounding like Korn. I disagree. POT is patently Korn... And massively heavy on the right stereo system plus has those wicked trance moments I love so much. And "Fuels the Comedy" puts a smile on my face once I realized what it was about. The other two just didn't have the typical Korn Sound but good albums and still Patently Korn, I for one am glad they pushed through that rough patch and still put out ART instead of taking a break/breaking up like most bands. They will be better for it. And still had Radio hits off each.
In the future those of us who don't like the other 2 CD's I am sure we will realize their genius once we calm down and have a few more years under our belts in order to catch up to what might be considered Albums that were ahead of their time.
Now Bring On The Paradigm Shift... I am so Friggin Psyched for this album!
Peace

I'd agree with that, Glacier.
I personally liked Path of Totality. Seems to me they found the right balance between the old Korn and the new Korn on that one.
As for Davis' constant whining, I really don't want to hear it anymore.
Seriously Jon, grow a pair!
Looking around whats going on in the world with the economy in the crapper, foreclosures, people getting literally thrown under the bridge, what does our dear Jon Davis - Mr house in Malibu and enough money in the bank to retire any time he wants to - do?
Whine whine whine... "poor little me".
I've never understood all these "poor me" people. What, just because we don't all constantly b**** about our lives means everything's perfect?
Mr Jon Davis got dealt a bad hand at life?
I don't think so.

18s obviously a headshrinker who knows all about the levels and elements of depression/jons demons, breaking news all that whinning he is doing is the freaking foundation of this band the last 20years!, where you been?
You dont like it thats fine, but this is korn, its how they right and what they have sung about since 93, unless you were born yesterday you would have known that for a while now.
As for the cover, i think it stinks but if the album sounds good then i guess it s pointless to even critique it.
Looking forward to this as well.

Vitamin, The fact that Davis has been whiner for 20years plus would be my point exactly.
I know he went through lots of bs growing up (or so he says at least), but now that he's a 40 something millionaire family father, would imagine he'd consider life to be pretty good.
Maybe it is just me, but I personally find it silly that while people are getting kicked out of their homes and families have fallen apart due to financial issues etc, you get rockstars like Davis driving a fancy car in front of their multimillion dollar homes, stepping out and saying "life sucks".
And it's not a question of money really, but I think in Jon Davis' case he really should have a look at what he's got instead of whining about what's going wrong.
My opinion, but each to their own.
And depression, I am unfortunately familiar with it. Even with all the hocus pocus around it, It's simply an illness - nasty one at that - and no one's really safe from it, the way I see it.
