^ I get the same feeling. Honestly, it kinda feels like you'd be telling the Pope you don't believe in Christianity but still adhere to it. I know these guys are somewhat of a cornerstone in Metal, but for some reason, I just don't get it. I love me some Metal, but Gwar is a band I just will not follow simply because they distinguish themselves from the masses. Urungus, or Mungus, or Genitalius, or whatever he likes to call himself simply does not portray the All-Mighty alien entity he feels he represents. All this aside, Spriral.... WHAT ARE YOU SHOUTTING ABOUT???

At post 2. Gwar's never really taken itself too seriously. Their live show is more than enough proof of that. I think if you gave 'em a chance you might like some of their music. They have a lot of different variations of their sound over the years as the developed into a thrash band, more than a punk band, but they same to be balancing between both with this.

Well I'm a fan of most of their stuff, starting from Violence Has Arrived, to their newest album before this, Bloody Pit Of Horror, with the exception being This Toilet Earth. My personal favorite album is Beyond Hell though. Murderers Muse, Eighth Lock, War Is All We Know, all great songs and Let Us Slay from Lust In Space is an awesome single. I got into them when they merged into more of a thrash band, because their older stuff is a little more punk oriented. If you're into to that, give them a listen.
