Kerrang! Music Awards Nominations Released

SLIPKNOT, METALLICA, THE DARKNESS, H.I.M., RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and BLINK-182 are battling it out for the "Best Band" award at the Kerrang! Awards 2004, according to the BBC News.

The nominees for Kerrang! were revealed at a live gig in London on Tuesday (August 24), where bands like the LOSTPROPHETS, BIFFY CLYRO and MINUS performed for 500 delighted rock fans.

Previous big-name winners include FOO FIGHTERS, BON JOVI, MARILYN MANSON, AC/DC and IGGY POP.

Seven of this year's awards have been voted for by the public, with the remainder judged by the Kerrang! team.

The awards themselves will take place at a top-secret location on Thursday.

I hope this is recent metal awards and not all-time awards becuase I would p***ed off if i didn't see Judas Priest, Led Zeppilin, Rush, Slayer, Black Sabbith, the list goes on... but if this all new sh**, then I probly got to give the award to Slipknot. I don't like Blink, I never listned to H.I.M much, I never heard of the darkness,( and if that band sucks real bad, I will be p***ed that they ruined the words "The Darkness") Red Hot Chilli Peppers are all right, Metallica would have one if they weren't so greedy, cuz my impression of them is greed. Never the less they have some good songs. But slipknot I enjoy the most from that list, so my votes on the slipknot for the "Best Band on the planet," even though they are not....
