DEFTONES have announced the first dates as part of their upcoming fall club tour. They are as follows:

Sep. 28 - House of Blues - Los Angeles, CA
Sep. 29 - House of Blues - Los Angeles, CA
Sep. 30 - House Of Blues - Anaheim, CA
Oct. 01 - Somas - San Diego, CA
Oct. 03 - House Of Blues - Las Vegas, NV
Oct. 09 - Stubbs – Austin, TX
Oct. 10 - House Of Blues - New Orleans, LA
Oct. 11 - House Of Blues - New Orleans, LA

As previously reported, DEFTONES recently spent a month writing songs in Malibu, California and will start recording their fifth album with producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, JANE'S ADDICTION, PINK FLOYD) in early November.

In addition to the new DEFTONES CD, vocalist Chino Moreno is finishing work on the first album by his side project, TEAM SLEEP. A November release is expected, with a tour to follow in December.

DEFTONES' last album, 2003's "Deftones", debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart with more than 167,000 copies sold during its first week of release.

Thats pretty funny coming from a guy who uses the name of the man who single handedly killed PanterA. If you talk about faith in music, dont bring up phil, who abandoned one of the best metal acts of the last 20 years becuase he couldnt handle his drugs and his band actaually doing well. I could also see how you would be offended by music with messages about drugs, metal, and women, when warbling about your dark lord to repetitive b-level thrash is sooooo much better. you are right, f*** the deftones for making good music to mosh too at a show and f*** too at home.

correction wayne is wasnt phil who actually broke up the band. dime and vinny started to drift away from him after reinventing the steel because they wanted to go for a more modernized sound (nu metal) and phil wanted to play faster more underground music and now look. damageplan sucks fat c*** and superjoint kicks seroius a$$ when phil is actually able to speak. and he did quit using herion a few years back but started up before they released use once and destroy for lyrical purposes
