118 Grams Of Marijuana Recovered At East Troy, WI Ozzfest

GazetteExtra.com is reporting that Elkhorn-Walworth County Drug Unit officers recovered 118 grams of marijuana at Saturday's (August 14) Ozzfest at East Troy, Wisconsin's Alpine Valley Music Theater.

Only one person was arrested by the Drug Unit on felony state charges for possession of marijuana and obstruction, according to a press release.

The unit arrested 40 persons for possession of the drug and two people were charged for disorderly conduct, according to the release.

Walworth County Sheriff's Department deputies issued 82 citations — 48 of which were for underage alcohol possession or consumption. Six persons were arrested for possession of marijuana and five for disorderly conduct. Twenty-one speeding tickets were issued.

There were three people arrested for felony state charges — two for disorderly conduct and one for bail jumping.

The department confined two persons for incapacitation from alcohol.

true, if they looked in phil's room they probably would have found 3 times that.
and they shouldn't let stoners in there, i went and there were little kids there, i
don't know what kind of parent brings their 5year old to ozzfest but kids that age
are there. if they want to "mellow out" can they do it in private?

Heh. The Phil Anselmo comments are hilarious!!

Last I heard, the guy was clean, though we'll never really know. Phil lives his life like he's Axl Rose, and sadly, that will be his end and we, the fans, will lose another great metal artist to stupid-ass drugs.

Brokenwings13: I completely agree with your comments regarding young children at metal festivals and such.

thank you, and i agree with yours, i thnk they should do bus checks as well as
attendence checks with dogs before letting people in, i know it's a little harsh
but if want to keep it drug-free it's what needs to be done.

The fact that alcohol is legal and marijuana is not is ridiculous. Alcohol has killed far more.

does anyone know where a song called 'Judgement Brings Punishment ' featuring Pantera and Slipknot comes from? I got the song on mp3 - and its a madass song - but don't know anything about it. I didn't even know the two bands have ever worked together. Is it off a soundtrack or a bonus track on either of the two bands LPs/EPs?

yeah, but if marijuana was legal and alcohol wasn't, this would
be a completely different story and conversation.

even though alcohol has killed more, there are laws and
consequences that go with drinking.
