Kittie Postpone Tour Until Further Notice

To update on the condition of KITTIE drummer Mercedes Lander. The group have postponed their current tour, and will not be playing any more dates until Mercedes is given a full bill of health. The official word is below:

"As reported yesterday, due to severe dehydration and exhaustion, Mercedes was hospitalized on Wednesday in Cleveland Ohio, where the band was scheduled to perform that night. As of earlier today Mercedes’ condition has relapsed. As a result she is no longer fit for continuing the tour. Mercedes is returning to Canada to undergo more extensive examinations to determine the exact nature of her illness. The tests in Cleveland were inconclusive; while as in yesterday’s report she appeared to be recuperating it is now clear that that is not the case. The remaining dates of the tour will be made up after Mercedes’ has fully recovered.

The band wishes to thank all of the fans for their love and support through the tour and now at this critical time. Expect to see KITTIE back in full force and back on tour later this year."
