Centuries Signs With Southern Lord Recordings
Southern Lord Recordings welcomes young Florida hardcore act Centuries to the label’s ever-morphing extreme roster. The label comments:
"Busting out with an emotive punk-influenced style of hardcore with elements of explosive metalcore and morose d-beat persuasions, Centuries should appeal to fans of comparable Southern Lord acts like Baptists, Heartless and Nails, but their overall sound more akin to traditional modern hardcore acts than most any other on the label.
"Amidst releasing several demo and indie recordings, the band has toured stateside alongside Old Wounds, Pray For Teeth, Homestretch and more, and toured Europe in late 2012 with Poland’s Drip Of Lies.
"Centuries has shared the stage with Gaza, Capitalist Casualties, Weekend Nachos, Skin Like Iron, Fell To Low, Code Orange Kids, Call Of The Void, Heartless, Dead In the Dirt, Full Of Hell, Ceremony, Trash Talk and Bane, has performed at The Fest as well as the Charming Man Records Fest in Germany three times and more, while two of the band’s members also hold rank in local act Dove Swallower.
"Centuries will travel from West Palm Beach out to take part in this year’s SXSW melee, after which they’ll tour out to Greensboro, North Carolina to record their as-yet-untitled Southern Lord debut with Kris Hilbert at Legitimate Business."
