Winter Solstice Sign With Metal Blade Records

Virginia-based metalcore act Winter Solstice have just signed with Metal Blade Records. Starting in 2001, Winter Solstice has secured an underground following by playing with bands such as Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying, The Black Dahlia Murder, Between the Buried and Me, Living Sacrifice, Silverstein, and Bury Your Dead just to name a few. The bands most recent EP was recorded at Cloud City Studios (The Black Dahlia Murder, Walls of Jericho) by Mike Hasty of Walls of Jericho in January 2004. The band will head back to Cloud City Studios in Detroit, MI in October to start recording their debut full-length release that will be out on Metal Blade Records in the winter of 2005.

Drummer Duke Cuneo had this to say: "We are very excited to be with Metal Blade. It's exactly where we wanted to be. We are glad to be a part of a label with such great bands on their roster."

Metal Blade Records Inc. owner Brian Slagel commented: "It's great to have the Winter Solstice guys as part of the Metal Blade family. They are a very hard working and talented group that have an amazing live performance and work ethic that can take them all the way."

The band's current lineup is:
Matt Tarpey - Vocals
Duke Cuneo - Drums
JT Turner - Guitar
Roger Turner - Guitar
