I think now that korn is falling under the circumstances of trying to make more money for them selves by putting a greatest hits for themselves...I totally agree with their first albums being awsome but the new stuff has been falling more toward the line of nu-metal genres instead of there brutal unorthadox genre, and not to raise so many pulses for all of you korn fans, but I believe they are aproaching selling themselves completely the f*** out....

korn is not selling out. the greatest hits is a way for them to finish their contract with sony, the ones who made their last albums not their best, although, TALITM was great, and then they are going to produce cds under their independent label, ELEMENTREE, where they will really show how awesome they are. Greatest Hits finsihes their contract with SONY. CD 7 will be a KoRn Masterpeice.

I think KoRn RULZ!!!! I love them to death and i don't care what other people think about them, KoRn will always be the f***ing best!! All their albums were great and any future albums will be too. And for all you A$$holes who think KoRn sold out, i just want to say, KoRn makes the kind of music they want to make. If they cared what people wanted to hear, they wouln't have made half the music they make today. Nobody can hold KoRn back!!!

Come on, You people honestly don't think that korn has the slightest motive to turn into a sellout? I think their old stuff was what they really wanted to make, because simply from my point of view, they were feeling it. Now, after all of these songs and all of these "issues"(No pun intended), they are running out on Ideas and From what I hear on the radio sounds like everything else on the radio. I could usually pickout a korn song easily, but his voice, there song y'all want a single is...eh? Whatever there singing about, more power to them...but they have lost there edge...sorry too piss you korn fans off, but they've lost it in there new album. If they make new stuff...They better ring there old edge back or else I won't even listen to them anymore...

k heres the thing "jon" and the band "korn" work hard to make there music to sound good like all bands. but i realy believe that korns new CD is great ,its a big improvment over there 5th CD. as a strong korn fan i say rock on and keep it up korn. and they should put out a CD with there christmas song out with other songs that most people dont here. peace...

KoRn are my favourute band in the world and no one will ever beat them. All of there album have been brilliant and they are working on new stuff too. I can't wait for there Greatest Hits album it's going to be F**king amazing, and the second it comes out i will have it got. Good luck to ye, I am going to listen to KoRn now, later

MY GOD,Liasten, people giving there comments, wait and read, The first four albums were new refreshing and they were kick a$$ rock, they brought something new to music, then Untouchables, came out,and what the hell happened, they sold out after you heard the album once, "Here To Stay" had a cool catchy tune to start off but then, you can tell how simple it is, KoRn were amazing for 4 albums, but then ,yes, sorry idiots who think theyre still great, the sold out,To people woh arent sure what Korn album to get to star them off,Get "KoRn" "Life Is peachy" "Follow The Leader" and "Issues".......... Thats it dont get anything above that, the only word for them is sh**.

12. writes:
Their first album is the only one I can think of as still being rather decent. After that I'm just not really into them, though they used to be my favorite. Such a sad time in my life. Oh, well now I've discovered Tool and Nine Inch Nails and am better for it.

15. writes:
all of you kids probably haven't even heard "word up" besides the sh**ty radio rip. no one's lost their edge, and if someone has, it's the deftones, slayer, and metallica. UNTOUCHABLES is better than anything any of you p***ies can pull out of your f***ing hats. are you in a band? are you famous? yeah, you wish you were. :P

18. writes:
Johnny, next time you have a thought, let it go. Your f***ing hypocritical input is false I am sorry to say. Slayer has not lost thier edge, metallica maybe, and deftones, maybe...but seriously Korn is on the same path. I think they play a role of hypocritism in there music today, because they made songs more open to a rappish/hip hop phase and singing this new crap like y'all want a single, and there out there now with all of there singles in one album and now there talking about the music business is bad and promotes too much music. Well what the f*** was up with that? If anyone can tell me why they are contradicting themselves please, feel free to explain...

Apearing on MTV is not selling out.Korn sold out in their 3rd album. That's when their music stopped being creative and half assed. Now they make bland music that they know will make them tons of money because you kids will just gobble it up.They have in no way re-invented themselves since their first album. They dont put any effort into their music anymore,Jon Davis is writing about sh** that happened to him about 25 years ago,it's obvious that these guys are not musicians, just nothing more than money hungry mainstream stars that put out repetitive music because they know it will easily make them tons of money. All that, without having to write a good song. That is how,Korn has sold the f*** out. They dont make music for the sake of making music, they make it for the sake of making money.Yes its a business and thats what musicians do,but the music doesnt have to suffer.Slayer has lost their touch a bit but God Hates Us All still rules.Take Slipknot for instance, they are millionares, and as their latest album shows, their wealth didnt spoil their hunger to re-invent themselves and to push their artistic talents in directions they have never been to.

22. writes:
i'd have to say that, yeah, korn is selling out big time. but maybe it's the drive to do
something different. once you get all that money and stuff, you can afford to go into a nicer studio. i think they just need to remember that the biggest and greatest studio and
the best producers won't help you as much as you think. sure you can get your
sound "just right" and stuff. but it's the fans your dissapointing. if they don't like what
they are hearing then they won't buy the album or go to your shows.
Slayer has NEVER lost their touch!! how dare you say that RelliK!!
Dark-Calibur- Defotones, yeah, they lost it. Metallica, no way. every bands music is
gonna be different(including Korn's) but i'll admit, their marketing skills are good.
but that's not what is making me go to their concerts, it's the fact that they are a great
band and i like their music.

23. writes:
Hey no problem, They were a very big inspiration toward metal, and I give the band respect, I just thought the whole napster thing was a serious drag. I'm not a cheap person, but I usually like to preview a band and music on a new album then, if it's worthy, I usually buy it out of respect... There music is great, but I just don't agree on there motives, but hey, it's a business...And Since MTV was mentioned on here, they don't play good music anymore. I stopped watching MTV after they canceled beavis and butthead, cuz that show was funny. And Slayer, is a great band, and put on an awsome show.

24. writes:
mtv2 runs beavis and butthead on saturdays, i think it starts after headbangers ball and
they run at least 5 shows. it's so great to see that stuff again, i was so close to buying
the DVDs and it started coming back on.
it's ok to preview a band and stuff online, i don't know why half the sites give you all
of it for free. i think that you should get 4 song samplers for free online and if you don't
like it, forget it and delete the file. is this so hard??
I don't buy an album if i don't like it. and if it's from a band i like and the cd absolutely
sucks, i'll sell it on ebay.

27. writes:
U CAN TAKE THE PISS OUT OF KORN IF U WANT BUT ALL BANDS RUN OUT OF IDEAS EVENTUALLY THEY ALL HAV UPS AND DOWNS BUT THATS THE WAY IT IS. SO IF U LIKE IT LISTEN TO IT AND I F U DONT DONT . IT DOESNT HAV TO BE HARD TO BE GD . WEEEEEEEE LUV KORN THEY R ACE AND ALWAYS WILL BE FANS OF THERES SO JUST WATCH THE NEXT ALBUM BE A KLASSIC.THEN SEE U ALL CHANGE UR MINDS ABOUT KORN. THE UN TOUCHABLES STILL HAS GD SONGS ON IT .

29. writes:
i don't think that any of the sub-genres will survive. at this rate, metal itself
will not survive. sure lots of people like it, bit by bit the entire music industry
is crumbling. all these mergers and bands being dropped because of it.
Metallica was dropped because their label, elektra, was bought by some
corporate record company and stuff. soon the only way to get decent priced
albums and etc. is either online or out of someones basement in secret.
can you imagine what that would be like??

31. writes:
yeah, they are gonna do that. i don't know if they're gonna do it through their
imprint, elementree, or just start a new one, because i think epic controls
some of elementree.
I remember hearing something about A Perfect Circle doing that, but i heard
nothing else about it yet.

KoRn's greatest hits is only gunna have 2 covers.
As for your little equation you wrote, Motley Crue is like my favorite band, mock me all you want but I finally met my idol Nikki Sixx a few months ago when he was performing with Brides of Destruction. Although I don't know about Disturbed, I used to like them but nowadays that second cd doesn't really pump me up or keep me listening as much as it used to, I find myself skipping through a lot of those songs. Their first cd was great though.
As for KoRn selling out, i don't see it. I mean there was one comment that Jon made before TALITM was released where he said Untouchables was an album that they kinda had to do, and at that point I thought they were going to but TALITM definately answered that question. As much as Y'all Wanna Single sounded a bit pop-ish, the video definately made up for it.

38. writes:
yeah korn isn't selling out as much as GNR has, jeez, i saw a pic of axl and had to
compare it with an old poster i have of the band and can you tell that he has got
some Botox done? i can. you make a million bucks being a bad@$$ and then boom,
age hits you. and take a note kids, plastic surgery isn't the answer.
youe face will melt like michael jackson's nose did.

39. writes:
Well it seems to me half you people cant spell or type right, so that automatically disqualifies your comments. Second, korn didnt sell out, they bought in. They had an underground following BEFORE mtv (by the way, mtv is as evil as Hitler). To me, the latest albums dont suck really, but when compared to their old stuff, yes, they lack what korn used to put out. But live shows will always be the same. I bet a lot of yous have never even been to a f***ing korn concert. Judge them on that. Go see a damn show, then make your judgements. Slayer hasnt lost their edge, god i bet you morons are making your judgements again without seeing a conert. You people make me sick. Oh and lastly, if you cant spell your band's name right (killjoy13) you should be f***ING SHOT!!!! It sure shows how much you like "Black Sabbeth" when you spell their name wrong.

40. writes:
Oh and another thing, brokenwings13, metal will always survive, because it has nothing to do with record companies. You even heard of independent bands???? They arent signed, but people go and see them AT CONCERTS. Gee, what a thought. Kinda like korn started off, but you wouldnt know that either.
Johnny, slayer doesnt suck, and ARE YOU in a band thats famous?!?!?! Ive never heard of you, so i guess not, hypocrite. God you piss me off and i dont even know you.
Back to the subject, korn will always be korn to me, no matter what, no matter how much albums "suck", the glory days will always be there when you pop in one of the old albums.....

41. writes:
Im not done with you yet killjoy13, do you know that all the bands you listed, although some are good, are pretty mainstream. And dont give me sh** about how Cradle of Filth isn't mainstream, they signed on with SONY, the biggest whore of a corporate record company. You didnt name one damn underground band. Tisk , tisk, listen to something thats not being marketed. Go find your own new bands, and dont rely on the radio because pretty much all those bands have been on the radio.
I'd like to see you respond, it would be fun to put you down once more. HYPOCRITE. :-)

42. writes:
i want to piss people off, so lets go with this. A list of bands that suck, that everybody likes. In no particular order.
1. Led Zep 2. AC/DC 3. Guns and Roses 4. The Misfits 5. AFI 6. *Gasp* The Doors 7. Skynyrd 8. Van Halen, even though he kinda invented shredding, but as a band, they suck. Theres many more, but im sleepy, so whatever, i dont even know why i spent to much time here. fxcking insomnia......

44. writes:
hey necrotic,
i meant that once this merger thing happened you won't get to see half these bands. sure they are gonna put out music still but how many stores actually carry indie labels?
and i was there at early korn shows so shut the hell up!!!
also, leave the misfits, the doors, AFI, and Led Zeppelin ALONE!!
especially leave AFI alone, or I'll tell Davey.

45. writes:
TO NECROTIC:
i think you, necrotic, are an insane bulls**tter.
leave brokenwings13 alone. she's only trying to cast her opinion,
as i am doing now by telling you that you are an insane bulls**tter.
and you know, Hatebreed was a underground band and killjoy mentioned them.
i'm from connecticut so i know what i am talking about when i say that.
also, don't yell at them for a misspelling, you didn't even put apostrophies in the
word "can't" and you spelled "concert" wrong.
and maybe "the glory days" weren't so glorius to some of us. half the albums
that came out then and are "classics" now, were reviewed and said that they
either sucked or were the worst albums of all-time.

48. writes:
I will admit that, being a KoRn fan since day one (yes I am that old) I am very sad and dissapointed about this whole idea of a "cover album" and all this collaborating with rappers and other insects. However, the idea of Rick Rubin producing studio album 7 makes me most excited, whether or not this in fact or fiction is yet to be confirmed, though. Korn lost their way a little, but if they do the right thing and listen to the fans they will return to the roots that made them a houshold name.
Saw em in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 15th of Feb 2004, supported by Static-X and Fear Factory, me and a modest horde of about 16000, the pit was nuts, pulled a crowd surf during the chorus of Falling Away From Me and got hit in the freakin' nuts and nicked the one of the security guy's smokes when he pulled me over the guard rail.
BEST SHOW EVER.

49. writes:
hey sacrificial lamb, so i spelled two words wrong, big deal, at least i can spell the names to my favorite bands. That was the point. Jeeze. And i can rant all i want about AFI, its the internet, you cant stop me!! And as you said , hatebreed WAS underground. WAS....

I`ve just heard this "**KoRn new song**" "Word up" if you can call it a
korn song. I LOVE KoRn!!! but THIS f***ING SONG SUCKS!!!! It should be
called "f***ed Up"!!!THAT IS NOT KoRN!!!
I can`t believe that the same Jon Davis that said in one of korn
songs"HOW I WISH YOU WERE DEAD NOOOW!!!" can say "all pretty ladies
around the world.... wave your hands in the air, like you don`t
care..."?!?!?!?!? JONATHAN DAVIS TALKING ABOUT DANCE AND ROMANCE!!!!???
c`mon Jon That`s not you, that`s not korn, that`s pathetic.
This song maybe was good... BUT 20 YEARS AGO!!! don`t become like a
linkin park kid, PLEASE DON`T BECOME A PATHETIC BAND. You were awesome
to me...until I heard this "thing".
I can`t imagine this "song" played live by korn, I can`t imagine head,
munky, david, and fieldy playing that kind of music.
C`mon guys If youre gonna do a covers album could you do some good
covers please!?!?!? Covers from Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Doors,
Twisted Sister (like you did in Washington in Family Values) or like
the excellent cover that you do of "ONE" for the MTVIcon please don`t
f*** up all KoRn`s respect that you`ve earned, you`re one of the
greatest bands of the world please come back to the "life is peachy"
style
And if some a$$hole or some b**** say that this song is as good as any
KoRn song YOU CAN KISS MY BIG HAIRY d*** f***ERS!!!
KoRN please don`t die...
