Linkin Park Frontman Unimpressed With Ozzfest Lineup
Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington tells Launch Radio Networks he's not surprised that their Projekt Revolution festival tour is scoring better advance sales than Ozzy Osbourne's Ozzfest in almost every market this summer, and that he's not particularly impressed with Ozzfest's lineup this year. "It's just too much of the same thing," Chester complained. "Usually, Ozzfest is pretty diverse, especially with metal, 'cause metal is so wide-ranged, like you could pretty much go all over the spectrum with a metal show. But even their bands are kind of all along the same super-metal genre, and you're gonna draw a very pigeonholed kind of audience with those kinds of lineups."

i never even heard of the projekt revolution tour...maybe its because linkin park only targets the main stream TRL kids, unlike the ozzfest wich is branching out to hardcore, metal, black metal, and old school...give people a good healthy variety music instead of stale and boring music that only appeals to 13 and 14 year olds.

Look, bottom line coming from a guy that loves metal, jazz, Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, and some Classical Music, these guys are no metal band, not at all. They are most likely in the genre of mainstream rap/rock. I didn't have much of a problem with this band before or the rap/rock, but reading this just made me lose my respect for this band. I believe there is a fine line between making it big, and selling completely the f*** out, and this conjunction of boy band over-rated snob f***ers have just crossed that line....Later.

ago and that alot of bands on that years' edition were "rap/rock" like crazytown,LP,

I would agree completely, but how do you define a poser, Really? How would anyone know the definate mind state of person who either really accepts music to the heart, or is just kidding themselves and when the trend of a band is lost, will go, and find another trend... It is very easy to go and say, half of you are "real," and the other half are "fakes, posers, followers, etc." From that stand point you didn't actually go out and meet every indivisual and ask them what they like or not. "What is the world coming too?" quite frankly I seem to understand now that there is alot of diversity between music, and now since rock and rap, have evolved over time, there is now conflict between the people who just want to vent, jam, and enjoy music. I think we are in lazy stage of the new millenium, where people can now just look at someone and say the a fake, or whatever. I know that stage has existed throughout mankinds existance, but to this day, that whole trend, continues. What I'd like to say take it into consideration of what you believe and say, because if you don't, you are obviously saying something you don't 100% know, so you're not correct... Hell maybe Ozzfest consists of a poser population of 50% or around there, but I want anyone to respond, who thinks they can prove what a real poser is with just a glance at them for walking into a festival with many great bands and dipict, who is fake and who is real....

I live in the most boring place on the earth, I've been to alot of places just to get out of
town. And some of the people i have met said "I just like that nose ring look" or
"I bought the ticket cause there might be a chance someone will get me on tape and I'll
be on the tv." I have experienced it firsthand. But through admissions not by looking
at people. If I look at people they run, I'm a little scary. I don't bite though.
Mostly though, you can kind of tell if your at the mall and a bunch of valleygirls are in
front of you in line and say to each other "i think this belt with all the studs is really cute
looking, it flatters my hips and matches my mascara."

I will comment on brokenwings13, I do agree with your statement, you can get a good glimpse of ones personality by what they appear as...IT'S NOT A COMPLETE STEREOTYPE DEAL, it is just a big hunch. I mean come on. I know from my own expierences that so far, anyone I met from how they talked, how they dressed, what they were into(Music Wise), I could get a really good discription of how they are as too what they are into in life. I must have had about up 40 encounters with future friends and just normal everyday people I see wether on the street or at a concert that I almost pinpointed who they were as a person and I pretty much narrowed it down. I have nothing against anyone, or there tastes in anything. I just believe that you can have a slight hunch on who is really not themselves on the inside, and portay someone else on the outside. It is confusing now-a-days, but I think It has to be cleared if you really want to be judgemental on someone or something but, hey as long as it helps you out, do it. Also, the punkish, gap wearing turnouts of linkin park really fit the image of what they play. I would like to once again say that Linkin Park, IS NOT METAL, the are purely pop/rock and chester is a goddamn joke. and I agree with the person above me which I'm sure he knows what he's talking about...f*** CHESTER...BENNYb****...

and one of of the Cubs pitchers, Carlos Zambrano, had all sorts of trouble with Jim
Edmonds, CF for the Cards. he intentionally hit him and then next at bat for edmonds,
edmonds hits a home run and when he's running the bases Zambrano is yelling at
him the whole way around the infield.
but that wasn't as bad as the next game, in the 9th we were down 12-8 after scoring 8
runs before we were down big time. so they put closer, LaTroy Hawkins in, after he
gets taken out because he let some homers go, he says to the umpire, tim tsheida,
"and where exactly is the damn strike zone?", and he starts to run after him then all the
coaches and some of the players are restraining him at the gate. it was wierd cause
Hawkins never does that sort of thing, he just snapped.
that is typical Cubs/Cards baseball.

let's see, when i get the newspaper on saturday night, it's usually all sports and
church, that's all they care about here. i like sports and all but the "enthusiasm" here
is overwhelming for me. also, they have the guts to move Halloween to November 1st
because of a stupid football game against big rival Seminole (another town, i used to
live there too) it's like City "council" thinks our police department can't handle it. idiots.
and then they moved the 4th of July to June 28th 2 years ago because the 4th
was on a tuesday. also, they got rid of all the art classes because the school
had put in astroturf, that costs $ 1 MILLION!! then they spend $87,000 on a bathroom
at the stadium, so everything actually interesting has been gone for awhile.
I'm about 80 miles away from Lubbock, that's where Texas Tech is.
the only place left to go is the library and i do spend quite a few hours there
almost every day. we used to have a movie theater and some of the churches
didn't like what they were showing so they ended up closing.
and the only thing that matters when your testing how boring your town is is
THE STOPLIGHT COUNT!!!
