The Rockstar Ramblings: Video Marathon

This week a real treat with (lucky) seven new videos featuring girls with cranium accessories, vampires, F-bombs, and of course, sass.

Ten's video for their single “Gunrunning” is from their new anticipated studio album entitled 'Heresy And Creed.' I can dig the black and white and the groovy sound (dig and groovy in the same sentence – yes, I’m high right now), but not so sure about the Michael Jackson style marching jacket. Also, the awkward lean into the guitar player makes me feel weird down there…

Laura Wilde has released the “official” music video for the second single from her debut album. The song is titled “For You”, and right away I was hoping this was “polite speak” for Fuck You. The video begins with Laura staring out the window. Apparently she is pissed off at her dude because he tied one on the night before (bottle of Jack next to the bed) and is sleeping in. Given the dramatic top hat she is wearing I’m assuming the dude is going to die. She seems very upset that he is sleeping all the time. At 3:31 we get the full story. NOT ONLY does he sleep too much, but the night before he was having a conversation with another girl. They were drinking from plastic cups. Plastic cups you say? DEAL BREAKER! At 3:45 the song reads my mind and turns the words For You into Fuck You. Thank God, because I was starting to get sleepy watching this dude rack up the zzz… in bed…

The all female rock band Hellcats have filmed a video for the song "Steelrider.” Couple of gals dressed in leather on a motorcycle kicks off this video. Most of the video focuses on the band that clearly favors short skirts, leather, lace tights, and lots of sass!

To celebrate Halloween, UK rockers Lesbian Bed Death released a new music video for the single "Soul Sucker.” This video is the sequel to last year's "Moonlight" video. If you like vampires you will enjoy this video. If you like vampires in short skirts, well then, you will fucking love this video. The video uses lots of “running from something” scenes to build the suspense, a lost art in today’s world of torture porn and Blair Witch knock offs. There is also lots of biting and wooden stakes through the chest in this video, you know, like any typical vampire rock video…

Gypsy Lee Pistolero, has release a video for the song "The Good, The Mad And The Beautiful" from his upcoming album of the same name. The video begins with a weird praying scene and a VERY French looking shirt. I am unsure of this song until 0:55, then it picks up. Flash back to some old school Cabaret type shows, or maybe straight up freak shows. Too be honest, it’s a little confusing for me. I usually need to see a bearded woman in order to differentiate…

Bloody Red Hearts have posted a video for their new single, "Good News", which appears on the group's self-titled debut EP. This looks like a public service announcement for VIDEOS CAN HYPNOTIZE and then the video confirms the stereotype that guys wearing wife beaters are usually angry and can run fast. He is chasing down a reporter who amazingly keeps his microphone in his hand at all times. Clearly, this guy is the real deal. A knock out punch at 3:23, oh I get it, this was a political statement against FOX News, or a Pro-Wife Beater production, or maybe both…

Former Beautiful Creatures and L.A. Guns bassist Kenny Kweens has released a video for the debut single from his new band Villains Of Vaudeville, "The Devil Is Waiting.” Very Marilyn Manson meets SIXX:A.M. meets Jesus (lots of crosses) meets Bourbon Street (masks). I do appreciate the service elevator and stair well scenes, both very under utilized back drops for videos…
