New York City progressive death metallers Open Denile have announced some major lineup shifts via their Facebook page.
Following the recent departure of rhythm guitarist Christian Andrè Cedeño, lead guitarist Craig Storer commented thusly: “We want to give a huge thanks for his contributions and time well spent in the band, and wish him good luck with his future endeavors and issues at hand.”
The band named one “Lil’” Rob DeSantis as Cedeño’s replacement on guitar. “This guy has the chops and riffs to add a new element to Open Denile,” Storer commented, “and we’re glad to have him aboard. The dude is nasty!”
Additionally, after extensive performing without a permanent bassist, the band has recruited the services of one Kareem “The Machine” Clarke. Remarked Storer: “Longtime friend and fill-in bassist for nearly four years is now finally a part of the Open Denile lineup! Kareem the Fucking Machine!”
DeSantis and Clarke both served in Queens, NY progressive death act Irony Of Chaos until its disbandment earlier this month.
Frontman/keyboardist Stephen Kain and drummer Bill Angelini remain alongside Storer as Open Denile mainstays. The band released debut full-length album “Visions Of The Next Dimension” (reviewed here) earlier this year.
