ASG Recording New Album And Relapse Debut At Sunset Lodge
North Carolina psychedelic stoner punks ASG have entered the studio to begin recording their Relapse debut and first album in six years. The band’s 5th full-length is being recorded with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet) at the Sunset Lodge in Hollywood, CA.
The band commented on the new record which is planned for an early 2013 release via Relapse Records: “We are very proud of the new material, we feel that we have tested some new sonic grounds in terms of our sound, and we can't wait for people to hear it!”
Relapse Records also commented: "Impossible to pigeonhole, ASG has been wheelin’ and dealin’ in kick-ass rock n’ roll since forming in 2001. The band has previously released four albums with including their most recent, critically acclaimed effort Win Us Over in 2007. ASG has gained a reputation for their wildly energetic live shows, and has found themselves on the road with heavy-hitters Motorhead, The Sword, CKY, Fu Manchu, Torche and The Dwarves among others."
