The Chasm Prepare For Release

Mexican death metallers The Chasm are preparing to release a new EP, Reaching the Veil of Death, through their own label Lux Inframundis Productions.

According to the band, Reaching the Veil of Death will be 24 minutes of "grey landscapes of misery, hate and utter necro metal, four new hymns of death." The four tracks will include two instrumentals, a revision of "The Gravefields" and an unspecified track.

The band cites lack of label interest as the reason for forming their own label, Lux Inframundis Productions. A statement from the band affirmed The Chasm are still very much an active entity: "This EP is a new step for The Chasm in order to keep their own minds and pure dedication in creating metal of death active and strong, and also to give their real supporters and believers something to listen to until the release of the furious new full length, which is planned to be recorded at the end of the year."

In similar news, The Chasm are presently working on an as-yet-untitled full-length album, which is slated to be recorded at year's end. The band will release the album on Lux Inframundis Productions unless labels come forward with interest in the album.

Reaching the Veil of Death is scheduled for a November 15 release through Lux Inframundis Productions.
