Neuronspoiler Working On New Album, Launches Pledge Music Campaign
London-based traditional metal band Neuronspoiler has announced the launch of a campaign on crowd funding website PledgeMusic.com to support the recording for a new full-length album, tentatively due in October 2012. The campaign page can be found at this location.
The group is currently writing and rehearsing new material fora first release since the 2010 EP, "No One’s Safe," and is appealing to fans to help raise the money by pre-ordering the album. Neuronspoiler drummer Tim Barclay commented:
“The way Pledgemusic works makes a lot of sense to us. Instead of borrowing money from a record label as we would in the traditional music funding model, we’re simply asking fans to go ahead and pre-order our new album right now. Your pre-orders will help us make the album. Once it’s recorded, you’ll get the music you’ve paid for and we won’t have anyone to pay back. Everyone wins!”
Guitarist David del Cid said: “I really think something that makes people get involved is the way forward. With this campaign, we’re really collaborating with our fans: asking for their help and giving them something exciting in return.”
