Six Feet Under Streaming New Single "Formaldehyde"
Legendary death metal legion Six Feet Under today unveils the first single from forthcoming studio offering, "Undead." Slated for North American release on May 22nd, 2012 through Metal Blade Records, the 12 track recording was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy), at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. The following press release was issued about the album:
"Led by the inimitable Chris Barnes, possessor of one of the most dominant and instantly recognizable voices of the death metal genre, Undead offers up an overhauled lineup. Now featuring Barnes alongside new guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson, new bassist Jeff Hughell, and drummer Kevin Talley, whose history blasting for Dying Fetus, Misery Index, and Chimaira speaks for itself, SIX FEET UNDER 2012 finds the band reinvigorated and churning out some of the most visceral, in-your-face, and downright horrifying tunes in their renowned discography of brutality both, lyrically and musically."
Comments vocalist/death metal ambassador Chris Barnes of the recording: "I'm in pretty much the best headspace I've been in since myself and [former guitarist] Allen West started this band in 1993. I'm super excited about the new record. It's a rejuvenation; it's a rebirth of SIX FEET UNDER, and fans will definitely latch on to my excitement and how focused I am in the lyrics I've written… The hypocrisies of daily life, things that affect us that spawn aggression, loneliness, sadness, there's a lot of emotions going on across the record, and I guess that the dark horror that humans cause is my niche."
Train your ears to the violent sounds of "Formaldehyde" at this location, where you can also view the record's maniacal Dusty Peterson cover art and pre-order options. The "Undead" track listing is as follows:

Post 2 your a gay torn up a$$hole, i simply made a observation. I always thought if barnes was to go back to cannibal corpse roots he would make a side project/new band for it.
ZMA its a shame you dont like them try listening to "feasting on the blood of the insane" or "dead and buried" then if you still dont like them, fair play, i tryed.

Alright Broken, I went and gave honest listens to both those tracks and the new track above again just for good measure and I still wasn't feelin' it dude.
I don't know I just can't get into his vocal style or how he writes his lyrics cause I actually read the lyrics to the tracks as well. For some reason he just comes off as trying too hard. Only my opinion though cause I don't think it has anything to do with the band itself, just him. I have some respect for Barnes because of Cannibal Corpse but that's where it ends.
At least I actually gave it a real shot ya know? And by all means spin the fvck outta SFU. I know ya will. I'll just go listen to Aborted lol.

"who says i ave to spell correctly on a forum?" haha nice excuse. common sense says, and actually you're not just making typos, they are like seriously mentally retarded errors. like i cannot even imagine what your grades or life goals were, telling me to kill myself, says way more about how sad you are than me. change for the better, little boy, insults from you mean nothing to no one.
