Cold Part Ways With Geffen Records
COLD frontman Scooter Ward has confirmed in an online posting that the band have parted ways with Geffen Records. "Geffen and COLD had a disagreement on how to promote our band," he wrote on the group's official message board. "They wouldn't do what we wanted, so we asked if they would let us go. We will be with another label soon. We are switching labels. I'm sure everyone here can understand. We need a label to be with us instead of holding us back. It's better for us and better for [the fans]. [The] SEVENDUST [tour] is still on and we will start our new record after the tour. I'm so thankful to those of you who stand beside us."
As previously reported, COLD recently announced the addition of guitarist Eddie Rendini (ex-DARWIN'S WAITING ROOM) to the group's ranks. Rendini joins the band as the replacement for Terry Balsamo, who left COLD to hook up with EVANESCENCE
