Finnish heavy metal outfit Lordi has announced that drummer Tonmi Lillman, also known as "Otus," has passed away at the age of 38. The cause of death is presently unknown. A message from the band reads as follows:
"Our dear friend and band mate, "Otus" Tonmi Lillman, has sadly passed away. He will be greatly missed and we send our condolences to his family and friends.
"Otus: we thank You from the bottom of our hearts for the short time we got to know you and spend with you together.
"Rest in peace, friend."
Lillman joined the group in late 2010, replacing long time drummer Sampsa Astala, AKA, "Kita." He joined after the release of the band's latest studio album, "Babez For Breakfast" and as such, had not recorded an album with Lordi. He had also spent time with such bands as Ajattara, To/Die/For, Sinergy and Vanguard.

Yea,total stunner, guy dies at 38? Thats pretty tragic. Not really familar with this band; they sort of do a GWAR type show with costumes i believe. But damn, condolences anyways. Seems in the last year or so,metal folks have passed away almost at a once a month rate.
