Anvil Parts Ways With Bass Player Glenn Five

Canadian heavy metal heroes Anvil have announced that they have parted company with bass player Glenn Five after sixteen years with the musician, with the bassist citing creative differences as the reason.

A statement from Glenn Five reads as follows:

"Playing in Anvil has given me some of the best years of my life, however after nearly 16 years with the band the time has come to move on and try new musical endeavors. Although Anvil has been a great band to play in, I have been limited creatively. I have a wide taste in music and I feel that it’s time to broaden my horizons."

I saw them in mid July at small club in Cambridge MA. One hell of a great,fun show! Lips is an incredible performer,and they ripped through all the classics! Kind of surprised by this news myself.
