Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine joined Metallica on stage on Saturday, December 10, 2011 to perform three classic songs, one of which was "Metal Militia." Fan footage of the performance can be seen below. The performance was part of the week long Metallica 30th Anniversary event in San Francisco, which has seen a multitude of guest performances including Biff Byford (Saxon), Lou Reed, John Bush (Armored Saint), members of Mercyful Fate (including King Diamond) and Dave Mustaine.

Only a week, huh?
No such thing as "modesty" in the world of Metallica.
"Thanks for being with us for 30years and making it happen. Now, pay us some more".
I'm being cynical now, sorry. Surely the shows were free to all their fans who made it all happen...

^You do get what you pay for though. Metallica puts on a great show and should be able to charge a higher price. On the flip side their would be a better world if everyone had the same mentality of Pearl Jam for ticket prices but nothing wrong with balance I guess.

Opinions, Cruolio, opinions.
But a Week of events - which their fans have to pay for - to celebrate themselves? Not a special show or a weekend, but an entire Week? Complitely over the top in my opinion. But so it goes.
No wonder Metallica is rich and I am not. Money money money. Oh well. Whatever feeds your spirit.

Metallica shows now are most like splatters of a paint on a canvas.. Even if the painting isnt good, if you have the name, it'll sell. Metallica can sell tickets for high price because of their name... It rings in everyones ears. Almost everyone knows Metallica.. Thats why.

Your right Ryan. And i respect no other Metallica hater on this site more than HR. Lets go over it again; Metallicas no doubt a brand name, who's established a niche market. Plenty of folks like me paid good money to see them on DM tour, play a set that consisted mostly of songs from thier first 4 albums. Not bad,but paid 169 for a 69 dollar balcony seat through Stub Hub;seeing the Boston show sold out in a day.

Really? You lecture me ("Opinions, Cruolio, opinions") like I don't know whats going on in my own mind. Thanks again for the reminder that what happens in my own mind is my personal perspective on whats happening around me (aka my opinion). So maybe it's time to get off the high horse that's up your ass.
16. writes:
You call that lecturing? Interesting. Anyone ever told you that you just might take stuff a bit too seriously?
As for the horse part, sorry, I don't do stuff like that. While I love animals, any sort of sexual intercourse with them is just not my kind of thing.

Here's the problem with the internet, because words can potentially have multiple meanings you can never fully grasp what someone is saying because you can't hear a tone in the voice or read the body language. Due to this you might have just issued it as a comment but I read your comment as patronizing.
I don't think I'm too serious necessarily as much as always looking for an opportunity to test my mental dexterity, apparently that can include subconsciously getting into word exchange with strangers over the internet over nothing.

Cruor, we've both been around here for years and years, we got no bone to pick, as far as I am concerned.
I guess I felt you snapped at me and I couldn't figure out why, so actually I might have - and probably did - misintrepeted your postings. Sorry about that.
My apologies, buddy.

I forgot how much a$$ this song, and album kicks. Time to break out Kill 'Em All for the first time in 10 years.
On the flipside:
1. Is Dave going bald?
2. James' voice cracks more now than it did on KEA.
3. Lars still sucks. f*** you "rock star".
Thank you and good nite.

I suppose this means we will also be seeing Wolf and Cruor joining eachother onstage in harmonious reconcilliation? ;)
Just givin' ya guys hell...
Ya big R, I used to think that I hated ol Davey As$staine and Sh!tallica pretty equally...upon seeing this hackfest butchery of a once brilliant song, I realized that I depise Jaymz and Lard's crappy clique MANY times more than I hate the poor ol Megadumper...yes indeed, a whole new fathomless depth of sheer and utter scathing malevolence for these depicable fvcking junkshow carney klownz has been revealed! The bottom will likely never be found! :)

you are right..but i might add..metallica are
multi-millionaries so why trying to record a
album similar quality to "master..."when
metallica can make another "death.." in
their sleep and sell new albums ...becuse
first 5 records are so great.
metalica isnt even trying to make good
album becuse metallica gets your money
on old glory...like elvis presley immitators
ha ha that was joke.

this was great, just like when they were on stage together with the big 4...
in my mind at least, megadeth since their inception have lived in metallica's shadow... no more. megadeth are still on practically top form, while i didn't even buy beyond magnetic, i just lost all faith in metallica. i think a lot of people have.

megadeth are better band then metallica in my
opinion and megadeth has never lived in metallica
shadow...most new and old thrash metal bands are
better than metallica...
metallica are just lazy rich guys who dont even
care about their music and fans..metallica is
just making commercial crap to get money..no
talent and motivation ...
