Van Halen Playing Super Bowl Half-Time?

I recently read KNAC.com's site and found this article to be relatively important, as Van Halen are an amazing band, and I really hope this happens. This, if it happens, will beat out Shania and the other crap artist's they tend to play during the Half-Time show...

Van Halen To Reunite At Super Bowl? Sammy Confirmed To Be In Houston

"Journalism is based in fact. Irresponsible journalism is based on rumor. Fuck it! Call me irresponsible. The Super Bowl people are promising us a surprise act during halftime. They're not going to tell us who it is, so with a pinch of fact in my pocket, I'm going to try my hand at simple deduction.

Short and sweet, Sammy Hagar is confirmed to be in Houston for this weekend's Super Bowl festivities. Is he a party rover or the party host? Where are the rest of the guys? At NAMM a few weeks back Michael Anthony confirmed that the guys had in fact met and things were "going well." How well?

Do with this what you will but this would be damned sweet to see these guys back in the spotlight and more importantly making music once again. Face it Roth fans, it ain't gonna happen with Dave.

At the risk of sticking to the set at halftime for the "surprise" only to see Shania Twain "belting out" her latest Mutt Lange creation or seeing Beyonce in dreads and leather chaps, I think I'll stick close to the chip bowl to see what could be. Is the rock back?"
