"I wanted to do something for you tonight to show you how much we appreciate you instead of saying you're a great audience," Mustaine told the crowd. "We're gonna play a new song for you. This song is from our new record, [it's] never been played anywhere, never been heard by anybody but us. This song is called 'Public Enemy No. 1'."

The main riff sounds like rehashed 'Tears In a Vial';if this insipid caca is their 'new' stuff,my ears are too dull to hear any more-sounds like Megadeth has turned into Megawuss.

sure the guitar's rhythm is the same as tears, but about everything else is different. i also heard call of chthulu at 1:48, nothing special, but it is megadeth, so i am excited to hear this

This must be one of the slower, more Countdown to Extinction-ey songs David E said there would only be a couple of on the next album. Most of it will be the fast, aggressive songs that Megadeth are known for.
Anyways, this song has grown on me, so I dig.

I've been a pretty vocal critic of Dave's "standard mid-paced 4/4 Megadeth song" formula but I actually thought this one was good - it sounded like a fresh track from "Countdown" rather than a tired one from later albums.

Dave never sounded good live imo. I almost feel sorry for this band as they age older...and older.
