A new band has been formed which features members from some of the biggest names in metal. The new group, named Temple Of The Black Moon, is fronted by Cradle Of Filth singer Dani Filth and also includes in it's ranks Anthrax/The Damned Things guitarist Rob Caggiano, bass player King Ov Hell (Ov Hell/Sahg/former Gorogoroth) and drummer John Tempesta, who has worked with a variety of bands including White/Rob Zombie, Exodus, Testament and The Cult, of whom is he is still a member. The band describe their sound as "a cauldron bubbling over with the unsavory flavors of Tool and Celtic Frost, and seasoned with the likes of Immortal and At The Gates."

Speaking about the name, Dani Filth commented: "We had an innumerable amount of names that never seemed likely to stick, that was until we put our proverbial heads together and narrowed it down to just three or four, and then tossed for it (proverbially of course) using a silver Norwegian crown (we couldn't find any proper money). The name Temple Of The Black Moon represents the rigorous worship of desire, (the black moon astrologically has always held association with the dark Goddess Lilith) and of course the ramifications of the lunar eclipse, always a herald for death and ill-omen."

The band has recorded almost an album's worth of material and is planning to record the songs in Bergen, Norway for a full-length album, which is expected to be released in the summer of next year.

Song titles thus far include "Infernal Desire Machine," "Don't Call Up What You Can't Put Down," "Dark Eyes For Trouble," "Beautifully Perverse," and "C.N.T (All That's Missing Is You)."

I'm intrigued, but I've never been able to stand Dani's vocals for very long. He's the weak link in this lineup in my opinion. I'll definitely give it a go though. Can't say fairer than that.

Well King is already incorperated with having played in Sahg/Audrey Horne.

I'm going to try this band's debut. I'm a fan of King Ov Hell's work in Ov Hell & Sahg.

Wow, I think this is going to be even worse than Dimmu Borgir's last album !

Mister Dani is so uninspired that he tries to copy Manson?

Agreed with Oz. DF is easily the weakest link there...but for some reason I'm intrigued...

I can see King and Dani but the other two are a strange addition.....
Should be interesting....
I'm sort of getting tired of the "side bands".
Try putting out classic material with your main band...that goes for everyone and is not a cheap shot at anyone in particular.

I'm really sick of the side projects. They put out 1 or 2 albums then disappear. I'm a bit biased, I can't stand King... hes still looking for a 'home' since he's pretty much been shunned by anyone who matters in the BM scene.
