Annex Theory Inks Deal With Pivotal Rockordings
Canada’s Annex Theory, which features in its ranks former Quo Vadis vocalist Trevor Birnie, has signed to Pivotal Rockordings. The band will release its debut EP, “Beneath the Skin,” in May via all major digital retailers. “Beneath the Skin” was produced and mixed by Carlin “Lemon” Heibert, cousin of Comeback Kid guitarist Jeremy Heibert, and was mastered by Tesseract guitarist Acle Kahney. The EP will see a worldwide digital release in May, while physical copies will be made available exclusively through the band.

Last month, the band revealed the artwork for the EP, which was designed by drummer Adam Jefkins—who had also previously wrapped up assisting in costume design for the 2011 feature length film “Goon,” starring Seann William Scott (American Pie, Role Models) and Jay Bruchel (How To Train Your Dragon, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Tropic Thunder).
The band will tour Canada in August supporting progressive death metallers LAIKA. Tour dates are as follows:

August 15th – Windsor, Ontario – Coach and horses
