fvck! guess us sorry US bastards won't get the chance to see Big Red go out

I wish it weren't the case that he's takin' off again, but this Block feller will certainly be a very interesting addition...dude's got the chops for the primary body of IE's catatalogue...not quite sure about his ability to nail Matt's endearing low end rumbling throat tone

ah fvck it! if Red wants to stay home and properly raise his grommets, that is his prerogative and good on 'im!

We'll sure miss him....AGAIN

Well Stu has a lot of range so I think he might be able to hit his tone. He can do deep death growls, high growls, and full on clean singing, and halford like screams. I guess we'll see if he can get a good sound with IE.

nah Z, I'm not questioning the dude's ability...if anything, Stu has a better voice overall than Big Red, but Matt's signature throaty low-end vibrato is something that not too many guys can pull off...ripper sure as hell couldn't do it

Anyway, am looking forward to hearing what this collaboration is gonna sound like...hope the material is strong, and gives Block the freedom to use his wide ability

Never been a huge Iced Earth fan, but always respected the material Ive heard.

Having just gotton REEEEAALLY "into", umm, INTO Eternity lol, I'm definitely gonna have to check out a new Iced Earth album if it pops up. Stu Blocks voice is going to add a sh**-ton of depth to the music with all the different styles he does. him singing over a power/thrash band is going to be completely interestingly different from him singing over the mutt of styles that Into Eternity play, and I look forward to it.

Any idea of a good Iced Earth album to soak in before a new one comes out, so I can be a hater and whine about how he's ruined the band lol? Honestly wouldnt know where to start.

New material from Iced Earth is highly anticipated from these quarters. The key is if Jon allows Block to use his range on a Iced Earth record. I'm thinking Block sings the lyrics he's handed in the way Jon wants em sung. Should be interesting. Listening to a lot of Country@ Western these days huh HR?

!0-4 on the Alive in Athens recommendation for you FAN...that thing is a MUST HAVE

I'm partial to the oldest of the lot "Night of the Stormrider", though it has Jon Greely on vox... but I do like his rendition of 'Travel in Stygian' better that Big Red's

Don't much care for Ripper era IE, and not just because of the vox...the material is really pretty weak, and the lyrics are often times borderline ridiculous....see 'Greenface' for example

Hell yes R10! i ALWAYS listen to country...its in my blood, its who i am... i never been no city slick, and never fvckin will be!! :)

Yessir R10, good dudes all! I fvckin love Country and METAL most....some of the finest musicianship to be found in all of music, and the grassroots vibe they each possess in their best examples is something I canalways identify with, ANY time ANY place!

Very down to earth artists in general, nevermind the poorly "representative" cheesed!ck bung holes of either genre

Hey, please feel welcome to shoot me an e-mail at the address on my profile, and I'll send some pics and tunes !

Cheers brother \m/
