Hypocrisy Frontman To Guest On New Kataklysm CD
Hypocrisy mainman Peter Tägtgren has recorded a guest vocal appearance for the new Kataklysm album, "Serenity In Fire", due on March 8, 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records.
Says Kataklysm singer Maurizio Iacono, "Peter did a special appearance on the new album after his gig in Montreal and it's fucking killer. [Tägtgren appears] on the chorus [to] the track 'For All Our Sins'. We start mixing in this weekend. It's shaping up to be a monster record!!"
The follow-up to 2002's "Shadows and Dust" is currently being recorded at Studio Victor in Montreal. The album is being produced by Kataklysm guitarist Jean-Francois Dagenais (Misery Index, Malevolent Creation) and will be mixed at Wildsound studio in St-Zenon, Quebec.
As previously reported, the much-anticipated effort will be released as a limited-edition double-CD, containing the following video clips: "In Shadows & Dust", "The Awakener", and two new video clips from the upcoming album: "As I Slither" and the movie theme song "The Night They Returned". The latter will be filmed in Montreal on November 20. The clip will contain band shots in the studio and movie excerpts. The bonus CD will also contain such goodies as wallpaper, screen saver and pictures. The artwork duties have once again been handled by acclaimed artist Thomas Ewerhard (Hypocrisy, Amon Amarth).
