Tokyo Blade Postpones Rehearsals Due To Eagle-Induced Injury
Tokyo Blade has issued the following announcement about postponing the band's tour rehearsals due to guitarist Andy Boulton suffering an eagle-induced injury:
"Tokyo Blade forced to postpone rehearsals for their upcoming tour as Andy Boulton a keen falconer (seen pictured here with an American Harris hawk) has badly damaged his hand after an incident with a Golden Eagle. Andy said 'the Eagle flew to me hand as usual, but when she gripped my hand her talons went straight through the gauntlet and completely through my bloody left hand! When an eagle grips it locks it's talons and there is no way of releasing it until the bird decides to let go. Not wanting to hurt her I just had to wait.'
"A quick trip to hospital and several stitches later Andy laughed and said 'it was my own stupid fault, I had the wrong gauntlet for an eagle but it won't stop me flying my birds... I love it.'
"Sadly Andy isn't ambidextrous so the band will carry on without him until he's fixed. Such a shame for a very TALON-ted band Groan!"
The band is also set to release the new album "Thousand Men Strong" on March 18th, 2011. You can check out details on hearing new samples from the album here.
