Marilyn Manson Cuts His Set Short at the recent Freakers Ball
Marilyn Manson was forced to cut his set short after two songs ("This is the New Shit" and "Disposable Teens") this past Halloween Eve at "The Freakers Ball" in Kansas City International Raceway. There were around 12,000 attendees. During Manson's set a barricade -- used to block the audience from the stage -- broke twice, the second time causing the venue to stop the show due to safety concerns. Riots reportedly broke out as sections of the barricade were broken into smaller and smaller pieces and thrown around. Around 100 police officers were called to the scene. Tear Gas and Mase was said to be used on some of the rioters.
Manson stated: "Even though the show was stopped twice for safety reasons, we wanted nothing more than to continue to play. Although we were not allowed to finish the show, we understand that safety needs to come first."
Folks who attented this show are being told to hold onto their ticket stubs and when Manson comes back to Kansas City, people with their stubs can get in free.
