Machine Head Update

I haven't got any info on Machine Head lately, and I found out that's probably because they don't have a US label since Roadrunner dropped them. I had barely noticed since I'd more or less written them off after their lackluster Supercharger. Last I heard is that Arhue Luster had left the band and I had a fleeting hope that it may give them a chance to return to a heavier style, but I wasn't holding my breath..

But surfing around today I read that they have a new album out in Europe called Through The Ashes Of Empires, which is getting rave reviews (despite a thrashing by Kerrang! UK) and is being called a return to form (of Burn My Eyes). The bits of music in their videos on their official site do sound pretty good. Since they have no US record deal, there is no release date on the horizon.

Check the Machine Head message boards for what people are saying about ways to get the album in the US. (I'll be tapping my Slovak connection - that's where my wife's from - to send it over!)
