New Swedish "Supergroup" Gets a Name

God Among Insects is the name of the brand-new Swedish "old-school" death metal band featuring guitarist Lord K (a.k.a. Kenth Philipson) (The Project Hate), vocalist Jörgen Sandström (Entombed, The Project Hate, ex-GRAVE), bassist Tomas Elofsson (Sanctification) and drummer Tobias Gustafsson (Vomitory).

"We still have a few more songs to complete but things are going as planned and it all sounds excellent," Lord K writes in an online posting. "Down-tuned, old-school and brutal. Like a mixture of old GRAVE, BOLT THROWER, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE and whatnot. We are looking forward to get these songs on tape and let you guys hear some excellent death metal in 2004.

In related news, THE PROJECT HATE are currently working on material for their fourth studio album, which they plan to record sometime next year. "No date [has yet been] set and we are in no rush," says K. "The stuff we have written so far goes along the same lines as before. We have our sound and we are damn proud of it. No need to change a winning formula."

THE PROJECT HATE's third album, "Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate", has just been released through ENTOMBED's label imprint, Threeman Recordings.
