Arch Enemy Checks In

Arch Enemy has checked in from the road while on tour with Slayer:

"Hello all Arch Enemy fans, sorry about the recent lack of updates! As you might already know, we are currently in the US,... touring with Slayer and Hatebreed on the “Jagermeister Music Tour” – and I am happy to report that everybody is healthy and enjoying life on the road!

All the shows we have played so far have been good – Philadelphia, Worcester, Detroit, and Portland jump out right now in my memory as particularly cool ones…all in all, this is a great tour for us! We are getting along great with all the bands and their crew + the Jaegermeister people are cool as hell too – this is a smooth tour and if our merchandise and cd sales are anything to go by…we are gaining a lot fans on this tour! We are meeting a lot of cool people on this tour, the metal fans are coming out of the woods for this Slayer tour!

When we were in NYC we visited the MTV studios on Times Square and taped an interview for MTV “Headbangers Ball” show (which is hosted by Hatebreed’s singer, Jamey). The guys from Killswitch Engage were also there for the same reason, so we were exposed to Adam D’s wacky persona once again…cool!

There has been an opening band on the tour (changes every 4-5 days) right now the opening band is Sworn Enemy – definitely good to see those guys again! We did a tour with them last year here in the US and they are a bunch of great personalities…

Ok, that’s all I can think of right now…this tour is running so smoothly that there’s not much to tell, ha-ha…

‘Til next time..

Michael Amott"
