Gwar Checks In With Band Update
Band Photo: Gwar (?)
Intergalactic murder-muppets Gwar are back from doing the "No Sleep Til..." festival in Australia and New Zealand, where they rocked the outback with bands like NOFX and Megadeth. Gwar is now set to finish off the year with east coast U.S. shows. Speaking from a garbage dumpster behind a popular Battle Creek nightspot, Oderus Urungus commented, "We did a Christmas special for Break.com, we tested the new Microsoft Kinnect for Game Informer, and my human slave even wrote a book about some good friends of ours. The only thing I regret is that I apparently can't tell a Bantha from a Wampa!"
Footage of Gwar trying out the Kinect can be found here. Oderus continued, "I have no idea why we do so much to entertain you people. Maybe it's because we are such driven artists. Maybe it's because we love the drugs and the money. Or maybe it's because I am just turning forty...seven...million years old."
The upcoming Gwar tour dates are as follows:
12/26 - New York, NY @ Best Buy Theater
12/27 - So. Burlington, VT @ Higher Ground
12/28 - New Haven, CT @ Toad's Place
12/29 - Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club
12/30 - Norfolk, VA @ The Norva
