@Baphomet 413....
Jay Z - The Blueprint 3 isnt THAT BAD. But there has been much much better hip-hop released this year, with Nas vs Damien Marley - "Distant Relatives" taking the top spot.
The one thing about Flynn that made me think twice was how he mentioned Protest the Hero's "Fortress." That album came out LAST YEAR....in 2009!!!!!!

Actually Avante_Garde, Fortress was released in 2008, lol. Still, in the original Metal Sucks post, Flynn says "Top ten albums I rocked in 2010 (not necessarily released in 2010)" before beginning, so that explains that.
Posts 1 and 3, don't be stupid, metal musicians and fans listen to other genres all the time.

Exactly #8....
im so sick of elitist goofballs, who are usually 16 and under, who think metal bands and musicians only listen to metal and that theyre only allowed to listen to metal and thats it.
theres so much out there in the world to enjoy besides metal. Hell, even some pop music is ok! The new solo album from Between the Buried and Me's frontman is a pop album and its fantastic!!

I dont see why everyone is in such a huss that rob listens to Jay Z or Eminem. Oh no! I worry that Machine Head is gonna suck now because of the rap influences!
Are you serious? Do you even listen to anything by machine head before the Blackening? That guy was listening to Rap, and most likely eminem, since like, ummm....forever? There is as much rap influence as there is metallica and pantera influence goin on. Listen to the song Crashing around you by machine head, then proceed to shut the f*** up.
and goddamnit I hate reading Akerfeldt's top ten lists every year, becasue he listens to nothing but obscure sh** that noone but him and the artist who made it listen to.
