Shai Hulud Update

Shai Hulud has posted an update on their website regarding recent developments, including the departure of vocalist Geert. As we told you before, Geert is definitely out of the group, though the band chooses not to reveal details of the reasons behind his departure. As had also been mentioned, Matt Fletcher and Matt Fox will continue on with a new name, expanding on material they had written for the next Shai Hulud album. No name or release schedule has been announced as-of-yet though. Otherwise, Shai Hulud will still possibly be touring Japan in January of 2004, but no more American dates with the old lineup will take place. Meanwhile, the remaining members of the group are talking to former vocalist and New Found Glory member Chad Gilbert about doing a tour together next year, possibly also featuring former drummer Steven Lee Kleisath (currently of Further Seems Forever), but nothing has been finalized at this point.
