Devildriver Posts New Album Update

American metal outfit Devildriver has posted a message online updating fans regarding the recording of their fifth studio album. The message reads as follows:

"Starting to really see the fifth Devildriver album come alive here as Andy Sneap is starting to send us mixes! We got the cover all squared away as with the title, we still got the inside artwork to approve and some photos, but we are getting there for sure.

"We also have been jamming for our up coming Europe tour with 36 Crazyfists, we are throwing in a couple tunes we have never played before in DevilDriver history, should be fun. Looking forward to this tour more than usual, hope to see ya out there!!!"

this outta good (not in a sarcastic way, i love DD & 36CF) it'll be quite the show if they bring this tour over here and i get to catch it. they should actually do a live dvd alrdy, "DevilDriver: Another Night in London" would be a perfect title. not that i even liked that song that much, just saying, it'll flow well.

I hope the new album goes back to the heaviness of their earlier work. Pray For Villains was a big disappointment imo

Pray for Villains was awesome. The only criticism I had was that the song writing was not as strong or focused compared to TLKW, but the production and musicianship was leaps and bounds better than their previous material.

I agree with #7. Most people hate on Pray For Villains. I think it's awesome, diverse, and a good leap forward for them, but yes some of the songwriting wasn't on par as TLKW or TFOOMH in my opinion. Can't wait to hear it, these guys never disappoint. STAY METAL MY FRIENDS!

I think they have got better with every album, faster and heavier every time. John B is such an amazing drummer too, i know he probably uses triggers but the speed of the double bass drums is insane.
