Iowa natives Slipknot has announced that they will be releasing a new DVD on September 28th entitled, "(sic)nesses." The DVD will feature the band's headlining performance at last year's Download Festival in Donington, England, as well as a 45 minute behind the scenes look at the band. In addition, "(sic)nesses" will also feature all four music videos the band made to promote their last studio album, "All Hope Is Gone," including the short film, "Snuff," which features actor Malcolm McDowell.

Not to start any drama, but you could almost some up this whole website with the statement " Im not a fan of their newer stuff". And it doesnt matter which band you name. Pick one, and all you hear is that same phrase. I just dont get it. I know slipknots old sh** was harder and better, but why would you hate them now? Let me guess, "cuz they sold out" thats another phrase that gets tossed around on this site constantly. Everyone cant always make their OLD sh**!!! Sorry, just had to vent a little

Korndogg, you see people saying that because that's what happens to a lot of bands. Most of the bands where I can personally say i like all of their material are either still in their prime, or one of the few that never change their style.
I'm not saying change is always bad, I'm just saying if you get into a band, like Slipknot in the the late 90's, and they last like 15+ years, there's no guarantee it will be the same kind of music.
There are also bands that change for the better. I like Communion as an album by Septic Flesh, but going back to say, Mystic Place of Dawn for example, I don't enjoy it; when Natalie was singing for them I disliked it even more.
I guess it's just a matter of opinion really, but the best bands are the ones where they withhold their own sound throughout their careers.
Yeah...and as for the DVD, probably just gonna youtube it later lol.

'disasterpieces' is an amazing dvd that i actually randomly watch still kuz it's just that good. love slipknot's old stuff of course and i was a HUGE maggot before. then came vol. 3 >.> lol i both agree with and back up korndog's point. but soooo many bands change ALOT and usually for the worse; slipknot, mudvayne, korn, linkin park, avenged sevenfold, etc. typically it's after one album finally gets them fame. but i can at least name maybe 3 bands that actually get BETTER with each album, 2 of which no one could argue, gojira and august burns red. the 3rd is debatable, devildriver. another, some might say, would be lamb of god, but they have changed since 'sacrament' with, to me at least, a more kinda of upbeat vibe in the music and randy's vox seem more southern or something, but don't get me wrong i still love them, but i just f***ing love 'as the palaces burn' and 'ashes of the wake'.

I understand your point xDecapitation and nOthinghead. I guess Im just a loyalist, if a band has influenced my music tastes in any way, or got me into metal or rock then I am always a fan. I really hadnt listened to korns last couple attempts very much, until KORN III, but I wont say they suck and I hate them. You know what I mean? I like change I guess. If slipknot made Iowa over and over again, Id be p***ed. I want something new. Now I agree when they make certain music for radio, thats bullsh**. I guess that might be cause Im into more than just metal, while some of you guys are strictly metal. Ima fan of rock, southern rock, country and a lil rap. Mostly metal, but a lil other sh** too.
ps- UPROAR FEST TOMORROW!!!!!!!
