Korn Prepare To Perform Inside Man Made Crop Circle

Band Photo: Korn (?)
Korn is once again reinventing itself and doing something completely innovative, nine albums and two decades into its incredible career. The band will perform for an hour and twenty minutes inside the mysterious crop circle that was recently revealed in the final installment of a viral web campaign. The band worked closely with longtime U.K.-based circle makers, circlemakers.org, on the shadowy design which features a series of intricate circles, one of which includes the iconic KORN logo, and stretches over 920 feet long and 350 feet wide. The concert event, which is a first for a rock band, takes inspiration from the eerie atmosphere of PINK FLOYD's legendary "Live at Pompei". The concert will make its North American broadcast premiere on HDNet on Sunday, July 11 at 8 p.m. ET and will have a worldwide online premiere on Monday, July 12 via MySpace in countries all over the world.

Surprised this idea hasnt been done before, but sounds cool to me...might have been even better with a black metal band performing...at night, tourches, hay barrels, fog machines, pumpkins, animal sacrifices, maybe having some one dressed like the headless horseman riding around on a horse all night, a platform for hangings, ouiji board readings, real life witches performing witchcraft...basically halloween alice cooper and black metal all tied into 1....
Idk, was just thinking out loud...

Mayhem fest offically kicked off today in san bernadino, and yours trully was there in the flesh to witness it all....
Might i say that all bands that performed gave good performances, no one half azzed at all...highlights, would be korn, especially with there stage set with the oil wells and the lights, hatebreed, chimiara and shadows fall solid sets, as well as 5fdp who im not into all but did a solid set, very high energy and the drum set was bad azz...
But the standout for me was rob zombie, unbelieveable set, anyone who hasnt not seen rob i'd highly reccomend it...think a combo of gwar, alice cooper and horror televison, awesome....the disapointment only 1 on the day and that was in this moment, there set list they chose wasnt the stronger of there songs, that was disappointing but maria looked fahqn hot, a younger hotter version of vicki gunvalson....
Did miss atreyu, that was because i had to get a good pit spot for the main stage....
6 people atleast taken to the hospital or first aid stations, all but 1 where passed out either from possible dehydration or some of that bad brown acid that was floating around...1 last thing, there were a ton of photographers there, 2 i noticed instantly, one was rick kosick, formely of big brother magazine and jackass, and the other was a shocker, former mlb pitcher randy johnson, in the pit all day taking pics...never knew the big unit was a metal fan but that was awesome...
Finally for any of you so cal residents, there's a free concert at the pomona fairplex sat aug 14, free in a sense, they ll be taking donations that will be given to chi of the deftones for his family and medical expenses....the bill for the show includes POD, head from korn, the chariott and one of my personal favorite bands living sacrifice who kick azz.....
This has been your 2010 mayhem road report, this RTB saying keep supporting metal and everyone keep drinkin! \m/ \m/

Okay, so here's my report. I find it strange that nobody calls him Munky anymore but I completely understand why we refer to him as "ranger" now. lol. I felt as though their set was solid as RTB stated, however, the new songs didn't really hold their own (not just my opinion, but the little woman's as well and she's a Korn fan). The classic staples of their live show were still there, but lets face it, they hired professional musicians and I wouldn't expect any less from them. Probably the biggest hit against them is the fact that they had to follow RZ. Anything would have paled in comparison after Rob and the boys burned the place down. John 5's solo was off the mother fvcking hook. All in all it was a great festival.

KD: You'll understand when you see him. lol. The knick name wasn't his choice. It's an inside joke.
You have to use gravitar to upload an image. It's been so long since I did mine I can't remember how I did it, but if you use the "contact us" to ask DB he'll hook you up within a day or two.
#38: Who's a big BOY?!

sh** iwas gonna say, ask him whats up with the zoro mask greed, but i forgot... what was it that day about 120 degrees? i agree with t he new song take, except oildale which was the song they opened with which i liked...ya john 5 performing with his teeth was pretty sick...
Finally got to see this crop circle performance, and the first thing i said was,....where's the crowd? But after watching the enitire set i got why they did what they did....still an idea like that can go along way, as i mentioned maybe with a black or industrial metal band or bands......

#41: If you had "my boy" you'd be getting your face pounded in instead of wasting your time with your weak a$$ comments here. My son's a scrapper who's been holding his own for years now. Now run along little boy. You've already bored me to tears again.
#42: Lol... Good one!
RTB: They didn't open with it here. It was like 4th or 5th on the setlist. They opened with their usual opener here. Aaaaare you reaaaady?
