Kataklysm Finish Writing New Album
Kataklysm recently finished writing their new album, Serenity In Fire. The band will enter Studio Victor in Montreal, PQ in November for tracking and will mix the album at Wildsound Studio in St-Zenon, PQ with guitarist/producer J-F Dagenais.
The Hyperblasters are also happy to announce that they have renewed their contract with Nuclear Blast Records for 3 more albums, following the release of Serenity in Fire.
Guitarist J-F Dagenais comments, "Nuclear Blast discovered Kataklysm. They built this band, they also believed in us when it mattered the most. The last 5 years with them have been great and we look forward to a bright future ahead. In my opinion, they are the best label out there at the moment. They've given us a great new deal and we're very happy to stay home!"
Kataklysm have also landed the job of recording the theme song for a feature horror film, Female Flesh Eaters, by SVBI Films in conjunction with Texas FX (Snake Eyes, The Living Dead II, The Arrival). Plans for a video for the track are in talks.
In live news, upcoming Kataklysm dates include:
Aug. 2 - Wacken Open Air (Germany)
Aug. 4 - Mundo-Zottengem (Belgium) - w/MALEVOLENT CREATION
Aug. 7 - Brutal Assault Fest (Czech Rep.) - Headlining
