The (International) Noise Conspiracy Hard at Work

Sweden's The (International) Noise Conspiracy, the band fronted by former Refused screamer Dennis Lyxzen, are currently in UmeƄ writing and rehearsing songs for their new album. "At the moment we are working on about 20 new songs," the band write in a message posted on their official web site, "and we all feel that the summer really brings out the best of us in so many ways. So far no date is set for a recording, but we feel very inspired and excited to start recording the new album. More info on this will follow in a not-too-distant future."

In other news, the long-awaited live album featuring THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY with special guests Jonas Kullhammar (saxophone) and Sven Erik Dahlberg (piano) playing the band's best songs at last summer's Oslo Jazz Festival will be released at the end of the month through Kullhammar's Moserobie Records. The record, which contains one brand-new song, features the entire show from the very start to the very end and "everyone who was there to see it knows that it was something very special," according to the band.
