Katafalk Part with Guitarist, Bassist

Holland's extreme death/thrashers Katafalk have parted ways with guitarist Pier Abe and bassist Henk Jan due to "serious differences of opinion," according to a message posted on the group's official web site (www.katafalk.com). "They will pursue their musical ambitions elsewhere. Chris [guitar], Michiel [drums] and Niels [vocals] will continue the band."

Pier Abe and Henk Jan commented on their departure: "We deeply regret this break-up, but there were some serious disagreements that could not be overcome. It was clear that there was no other option than to leave the band. We would like to thank everybody who has supported us the last couple of years. You were great, we'll see you again!"

Katafalk's debut album, titled "Storm Of The Horde", was issued earlier this year through Cold Blood Industries Records.
