Marduk Hard At Work on New Material
Sweden's Marduk will be making their Australian live debut at the Destruction of Oz festival in Melbourne on August 22. Guitarist Morgan HÃ¥kansson is currently working on material for the group's next studio album, tentatively due in early 2004 through the group's own Blooddawn Productions. 3-4 songs have already been penned and are being described as "the most violent creations the band have ever done," according to MARDUK's official web site. "The next album will be a continuation of the [classic 1999 release] 'Panzer Division Marduk'."
In related news, HÃ¥kansson and Marduk bassist B.War have just returned from the Abyss studio where they completed work on a full-length album with their other band, Devils Whorehouse. The CD, titled "Revelation Unorthodox", is the follow-up to the mini-album "Howling", which was released in 2000. Tentative plans exist for the EP to be reissued as a limited-edition digipack featuring several bonus tracks.
