AC/DC Sets Audience Record At Sydney's ANZ Stadium
AC/DC set a new audience record at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, reports Kathy McCabe in the “Daily Telegraph.” At noon on Monday, February 22nd, the band had sold 212,729 tickets for their three concerts at the stadium compared with 211,747 for U2’s Vertigo tour in 2006. The gross for the Sydney shows is expected to be over $25 million, with another $4 million in merchandising.
In related news, AC/DC’s Black Ice leaped up twelve places on the ARIA Charts to #11. Their first collection of older tracks “Backtracks” is up twenty-two places to #36, their first live album “Live” is up forty-three places to #46, and their first No.1 album from 1980 “Back in Black” also climbed twenty-two places to #57, and lastly they re-enter at #97 with “The Razors Edge,” their 1990 No. 3 album.

Not bad...70 thousand average each show, still cant beat alice cooper and or kiss' individual show records though....kiss i think 1 show was 155 thousand and AC i believe was 180 thousand, both in brazil....
