The Black League to Enter Studio in October
Finland's The Black League, the band featuring former Sentenced frontman Taneli Jarva, will enter Seawolf Studios (web site) in Suomenlinna (just outside Helsinki) in October to begin recording their third full-length album, "Man's Ruin Revisited", due in early 2004 through Spinefarm Records subsidiary Ranch (web site).
As previously reported, Jarva is currently working with a new Finnish death metal supergroup called Chaosbreed. The quintet, who are completed by drummer Nalle Österman (ex-Gandalf), bassist Oppu Laine (ex-Amorphis, Mannhai), guitarist Marko Tarvonen (Moonsorrow), and guitarist Esa Holopainen (Amorphis), are presently rehearsing material for a full-length album, to be recorded in August at Sunlight Studio in Stockholm, Sweden with producer Tomas Skogsberg. A recently-recorded demo will be distributed through the Internet with a view toward procuring a suitable record deal for the group. The group's first live show will take place on Friday, July 11 at the Stella Star Club in Helsinki, Finland during the Tuska Festival weekend.
