Charon to Release New Single in May

Finland's Charon, who have been lambasted in their home country for "ripping off" local heroes H.I.M., will release a new single, "In Trust Of No One", on May 12 through Spinefarm Records. The title cut will be backed by another new song called "Death Can Dance".

Charon have spent the past few months recording their fourth full-length album at BRR Studios in their hometown of Raahe and are scheduled to begin mixing the effort on May 5 at Helsinki's Finnvox Studios. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to the excellent "Downhearted", which debuted at position #3 on the Finnish album charts upon its release a year ago, will include a guest appearance on backing vocals by Nightwish/ex-Sinergy bassist Marco Hietala and Jenny Heinonen, the latter of whom had performed a similar role on the group's first two albums.
